GERMANY: Streetart Berlin – Tiergarten – Hotel Berlin, Berlin – Freiluft Kunst Klub Berlin – Friends of Friends

The FKKB has organized the group exhibition „Friends of Friends“ featuring 13 artworks made by different artists from 2nd July till 3rd August, which is the edition #31 of their event series.

„Friends of Friends“ is built on a simple idea. FKKB artists invite one fellow artist to take part in the exhibition, someone they want to support, promote, or whose work they believe deserves greater visibility The invited artists take centre stage in this exhibition. FKKB members step back and become patrons, giving a platform to artists they admire. Each artwork was created specifically for this exhibition in the same 50×70 cm portrait format Within this shared format, the theme was left entirely open allowing for a broad range of artistic perspectives The result is an exhibition shaped not by a curatorial theme, but by personal connections. Each work tells not only its own story, but also one of recommendation, friendship, and artistic appreciation.  –  FKKB

„Aufgelöst“ – „Dissolved“. In truth, I’m dissolved – into many pieces. Particles aren’t afraid. My bank account—it isn’t afraid. My stomach acid goes limp. My sleep drifts down to my belly, legs, and butt. My writings never existed. My beloved clothes haven’t seen a thing. The hand soap smells like my grandma, who isn’t my biological one. My friends have no idea about me. In this state, a lot is possible, I think. I could be a mouse in the PSG locker room. I could see the world as curved. I could drink without risk. I could drift by as a speck of dust past the family photo that the astronaut left on the moon in 1972. I could be in Brazil and Japan and Cappadocia and in the arms of my love all at once, and even be the fresh fish on ice at a market stall, later ending up in a ceviche, and then peer into the open mouth of the frightened person who’s trying to comfort themselves with food because they’re distraught.  –  Burcu Türker Berlin, 2026
