GERMANY: Streetart Frankfurt – Innenstadt – Schützen 8 – Old Brückenkeller Restaurant

The history of the Brückenkeller dates back to 1652, when the first wine was served there. From 1927 to 1987, the place was a restaurant with fine dining in the historic cellar vaults. The Brückenkeller even received a Michelin star in 1987 and a second star in 1991. After renowned chef Alfred Friedrich left in 1996, no more stars were awarded and the business was no longer really successful. From 2005 to 2013, the Brückenkeller was only rented out as an event venue and then finally closed. This graphic mural still bears witness to the restaurant from back then and the advertising letters are chill spots for pigeons.
