Exhibition – Welcome to the Jungle
Through her collaboration with PANDION and TRANSIT RÄUME, artist GITA KURDPOOR started in January 2023 as the first resident to design a former cab showroom in the Prinzessinnenstrasse in Berlin Kreuzberg with her art. She has decided to exhibit her „Animal Collection“ and to bring it oversized on the walls. She made this decision in reference to Kreuzberg and its diversity. The diversity of the district and the people, with different backgrounds and origins come together here. For the Berlin native of Kurdish descent, it is important for her contemporary art to always again and again to stimulate thought. This, however, not with a raised forefinger, but with a profound lightness and power in her pictures. The exhibition will last until 30th of June 2023, possibly there will be an extension.
The wild animal collection
GITA KURDPOOR, internationally known for her murals and her modern Mandalas, has already painted the four motifs on canvases in advance. For her these animals represent above all strength and energy. They embody fearlessness and strength, but also radiate a natural calm. This combination and also authenticity are attributes that the artist for pursues for herself in life. With determination and passion she dedicates herself to her art since many years, even if the paths here are not easy and there are some hills to overcome or she ultimately had to climb.
