The SCHOTTENBURG youth leisure center, or “DIE SCHOTTE” for short, opened in 2021 and is open from Monday to Saturday from 2 to 8 pm. During the school vacations, an additional extra program is usually offered. The team consists of a group of youth social workers and freelancers in creative areas such as music, sports, upcycling, streetart or graffiti. The youth center also has its own graffiti wall, but the building is as well adorned with great murals in many places. There is also a playground, sports facilities and a parkour area around the complex. You can always find the latest information on events and the activities on the Instagram channel. The youth center was created in 1953 by Berlin architect and urban planner Werner Düttmann, who would have been one hundred years old on 6th March 2021. On the website Werner Düttmann. Berlin. Bau.
