In October 2016, the first street art work was initiated by the construction company with the mural at Celler Straße 23 and the corner of Hamburger Allee. The artist MANSHA FRIEDRICH was able to lure the two street art greats PARIZ ONE and MR DHEO from Portugal to Hannover and together they gave the probably most prominent wall at the city’s main traffic junction their very individual color stamp. The mural was created between September 28 and October 3.
PARIZ ONE, who has a degree in audiovisual communication, works with artist friends all over the world. Whether freelance work or commissioned work for companies and municipalities, his works always impress with their very own wild style: large, wild and colorful. He combines traditional elements of graffiti with modern, almost holographic elements. MR DHEO, also from Lisbon, the city which, according to a poll by the British Guardian, is the most important city for street art worldwide, is also one of the most important Portuguese street artists. The self-taught artist, who says he has always struggled with the traditional art education system, has developed his own technique over the past 17 years, which can now be admired in more than 40 cities worldwide. The photorealistic style of his works in combination with expressive graphic elements makes his works unmistakable.
In Celler Straße, MR DHEO has opted for his own image as a clown, which PARIZ ONE has supplemented with geometric shapes. “Because the clown has always been a mirror of human greatness and weaknesses, defeats and successes, living itself and giving joy, amazement, laughter and many dreams every day anew,” say the artists. The residents of the house in Celler Straße will therefore certainly dream much more colorfully and with a smile in the future.
