After several years of grandiose events and spray sessions of DAS DRECKIGE DUTZEND, the first additional only femal writers jam took place on 3rd and 4th of September in 2022 at the local swimming pool in Babenhausen: The fantastic event AEROSOL QUEENS was born and is going to happen from now on annually. That means two fantastic jams every year! DD12 and AEROSOL QUEENS.
It is kind of an offshoot of DD12, but this time only for female writers to participate as artists. The basic idea of the jam is the same like with the brother jam DD12, which means to be non-commercial and public with networking of artists and interested parties, also thereby a joint design of an area in public space. Being creative, making the world more colorful and having a good time together.
AMBER, event organizer: “Like ‘Das Dreckige Dutzend’ (The Dirty Dozen), the ‘Aerosol Queens’ Jam is a changing compilation of female artists who design a space together once a year as part of a public, non-commercial action. However, participation to that event is limited to women only! The idea for this action arose in the context of discussions with interested women and the desire to be among themselves. This desire had different factors as a reason, but was decisive for the idea and subsequent planning, the result of which are the ‘Aerosol Queens’ Jams, which had their debut in 2022 in Babenhausen. Also at the ‘Aerosol Queens’ currently annually participants with different styles come together to design jointly a large area according to a motto, to upgrade a corner of the city, to have a good time and to bring regional, national and international artists to one place. Interested people are always welcome to come by, watch and ask questions.”
