GERMANY: Streetart Map Rheine – Ems Side Gallery, Bodelschwing Bridge and Old Train Station

Rheine is a Westphalian city on the River Ems near the city of Münster and the Dutch border. It is more of a small town with around 80,000 inhabitants, but still with some beautiful street art and graffiti in the urban space. Well-known artists such as MAD C, BJÖRN VON SCHULZ, BUNTE WÄNDE and INNERFIELDS delivered great murals for the Ems Side Gallery. In addition, the ADL CREW aka ADLETICS is strongly represented here with great graffiti. The open spray area at the Bodelschwing Bridge and the lost place at the old train station with urbex atmosphere are highly recommended. Photographer HOLGER PETER was visiting Rheine, initially we only wanted to make a smaller article. But then so many photos came together, he visited more often and also MIREYA PROSKE-PONS started contributing photos. Meanwhile a total of 1736 pics with 194 individual pages came together, definitely enough to create a map.

How does the map work? All the buttons on the map are links to a photo gallery of the spot, sometimes with only one photo, sometimes with heaps of photos or even a full article. The different symbols explain various categories of the streetart and graffiti artworks. In the navigation of the map on the left you can find the several markers sorted by the categories and it´s possible to hide or fade these layers.
