Exhibition: „vielschichtig“ – URSULA KENSY & REINGARD GLASS
From September 22 to November 10, 2024, the KULTURMARKT LEINGARTEN presented another exhibition worth seeing in the MUSEUM ALTES RATHAUS at Eppinger Straße 150 under the title „vielschichtig“. The title „vielschichtig“ means „multi-layered“ in English. The spotlight was on sculptures created by Künzelsau sculptor URSULA KENSY and paper collage and decollage works by Bad Mergentheim-based artist REINGARD GLASS. Art historian and Neckarsulm museum director NATHALIE SCHEERLE-WALZ spoke at the opening.
URSULA KENSY, born in Salem on Lake Constance in 1956, is an artist member of the Hohenloher Kunstverein and has been working as a freelance sculptor since 1983. From 1979 to 1983, she studied at the Freie Kunstschule Nürtingen. The artist works with stone, bronze, natural materials and paper. Her sculptures, with their inexhaustible variety of seed and fruit shapes, are reminiscent of botanical archetypes and seem like echoes from the garden.
REINGARD GLASS, born in Herford in 1949, is an artist member of the Künstlerbund Baden-Württemberg and the Hohenloher Kunstverein. She studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1974 to 1979. Reingard Glass works with the technique of collage and decollage. Paper is her material. Surfaces and forms are layered, superimposed, torn and cut. Sometimes linear and colored accents complement the picture. Compositions are created in a reduced, exciting formal language.
