Motifs from the stories of Till Eulenspiegel
I discovered this interesting mural of KOSLOWSKI from 1979 by chance when I was looking for a parking space. The artwork is certainly 30 years old or even older, the facade is already peeling off in many places. On the area in front of the building there is a huge tree of life, on the wall of the house you can also see a painted tree. The size of the real tree suggests that it is 30 to 35 years old and when the mural was painted, it must have been very young and just around 1 to 2 meters tall. The motifs show scenes from the stories of Till Eulenspiegel, also known as Dil Ulenspiegel and Dyl Ulenspegel. He is the character of a wandering scoundrel in a 14th century prose novel. – Holger Peter – March 2021
