Tribute to NFL game on 9th November 2025 in Berlin
Every year on November 9th, the NFL plays a game in Germany. In 2025, this took place at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, following games in Munich and Frankfurt in the two previous years. The Indianapolis Colts faced the Atlanta Falcons in the Berlin match, and Australian rapper The Kid Laroi performed at halftime. Due to the NFL’s now large fanbase in Germany, these games have been held in Germany since 2022, and more are planned until at least 2028.
The Sports Senate organized extensive marketing campaigns for the 2025 event, including this impressive mural, which will remain until the end of 2026. The artwork was inaugurated on 5th November and covers approximately 1.000 square meters. The huge mural depicts Berlin native and former NFL player Björn Werner, as well as the Berlin Bear, wearing football jerseys. The artwork was created by a whole group of fantastic local artists, including AXEL LENT, EDGA, FIX 77, JACK 99, MATE, MONSTA 179, SIDNEY ARNOLD, SVEN UWE KAISER and XI DESIGN. The project was supported by NFL Germany, Björn Werner, OG Obergeschoss, and the agency Teamwork.
