Urban Art Biennale 2019 – “Edmond se détend” – “Edmond relaxes”
An enchanted corner of paradise. The fireplace, which you enter through a small doorway, is filled with solemn silence. Countless cubic meters of black smoke were blown through this stone shaft into the sky above Vällingen. The sky was often darkened by the smoke from the ovens for days on end, the sun just a pale disc in the hazy gray. Today, you can look through the chimney into the vastness of the sky. In the small square in front of the chimney, you can hear the lively song of the birds that have made the coking plant their home. The new inhabitants feel at home in the winding thicket of old iron and new plant life. – Infosign
