Culture. Diversity. Connection.
The KULTURFABRIK LÖSEKE or in short KUFA has been Hildesheim’s largest sociocultural center since 1992. This makes it one of the oldest in Germany. Concerts by national and international artists, theater, workshops, parties, creative projects, and more: Every month, the KUFA serves as a stage, a platform, and a meeting place for culture in all its forms. It also hosts cooking groups like SoKü and other sociocultural projects. During the week, it’s a place for exchange and ideas; on weekends, it’s an industrial-style club. Open to everyone—and brought to life through collaborations in and around Hildesheim.

Promoting sociocultural initiatives and connecting regional culture: KUFA plays a pivotal role in Hildesheim’s sociocultural projects. It serves as the driving force and initiator behind the networking of the regional cultural landscape. We, the KUFA team, aim to make culture accessible and tangible for everyone. The center is designed to function as a cultural workshop, a hub for communication, and an event venue, helping to shape the city’s diverse cultural offerings. It is important to us to promote tolerance, participation, and responsible action through our approach and our program. In this way, KUFA brings people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds together through its project work. Additionally, KUFA’s current projects include, for example, the Faserwerk. As an employer, KUFA aims to strengthen social work, offer genuine opportunities to disadvantaged people, and make it easy for them to enter the workforce, while also providing practical experience, teamwork, and meaningful activities—including through academic and school internships. In addition, KUFA provides (rehearsal) spaces, technical equipment, and infrastructure for private or external events, proving once again that KUFA is here for everyone.

KulturFabrik e.V. operates on a non-profit basis. The association pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes within the meaning of the section “tax-privileged purposes” of the German Tax Code in its currently valid version. It operates out of a sense of social responsibility and without any religious or political affiliations. It does not primarily pursue its own economic interests. The Kulturfabrik Löseke is intended to be a place of cultural and social education with the objective of integrating all age groups, educational backgrounds, and social classes, and creating conditions for encounters and communication between individuals, groups, and nationalities. What is produced or takes place in the “Kulturfabrik” should encourage active participation and be open to outsiders. The general purpose of the association is thus to promote efforts that serve international understanding. In addition, environmental, landscape, and historic preservation interests are to be taken into account in the implementation of the association’s projects. – Kulturfabrik Löseke
