GERMANY: Streetart Dortmund – Westpark – Otto Meinecke Hall of Fame – Graffiti Spray Space

On Otto Meinecke Straße, there is a spray site that I consider to be the best Hall of Fame in Dortmund in terms of artistry. It is located within walking distance of the main train station in a fairly narrow, mostly shaded street. The wall to the neighboring train station grounds is about 270 meters long, perhaps 4.5 meters high in the east and perhaps only 2 meters high in the west at the other end. Looking at the wall from the east, the best pieces can be seen on the first 200 meters, which no one really dares to cross. This is followed by an approximately 30-meter-long section with a wall height of perhaps 2 meters, which is cluttered with trash containers—tags and toys predominate here—before the western area is decorated with good pieces again. The wall is supported by pillars every 5 to 6 meters, resulting in 5-6 m wide fields for each piece. The front sides of the pillars are sprayed separately.
