In Leipzig’s Plagwitz district, at Zschochersche Street 78, there is an interesting hidden spot filled with graffiti on abandoned factory walls. A very exciting and adventurous urbex place! The former Philipp Swiderski Maschinenbaufabrik (Engineering Factory) was built in 1867 and produced letterpresses, lithography presses and steam engines. After being renamed several times, the factory finally belonged to VEB Druckereimaschinenwerk Leipzig (Printing machine factory) and was shut down in 1990. Since then, the increasingly dilapidated buildings have become popular amongst photographers and urban artists, a visit is recommended, especially if you like lost places. Everything is covered in graffiti and streetart, from Kings to Toys, from small to large.
