GERMANY: Streetart Fürth - Europakanal - Grundig Park Masterpiece Collab - Urban Art Jam - 28 Graffiti Artists on 800 m²

This page is about an incredibly awesome and superb veritable long masterpiece. It’s consistent of numerous parts made by local, regional and international creators with grandiose works non-stop! You can find this great wall at the Europakanal along the Grundig Park in the city of Fürth, which has around 131,00 inhabitants and is located in the Bavarian region of Middle Franconia near Nuremberg in south-east Germany. In September 2022, the wall along the Europakanal was designed with a colorful collaborative work by more than 28 graffiti artists. The color concept was well conceived and thought out beforehand, so the respective little great individual art stories run across the entire wall in a rainbow of colorful succession. Each part has its little thematic with different styles of writing and characterism. Fantastically diverse, even more so in the details, the artists have all delivered incredibly cool works! Big respect, magnificent wall! Also big thanks to FOKUS and KID CROW for the inviting and connecting, as well to CARLOS LORENTE and the STYLE SCOUTS for organisation and support. The photographer IRXNSCHMOIZ documented the whole wall with fabulous shots. If you are around the area one day and you like urban art, you should definitely have a visit to that spot.

The URBAN ART JAM organizers about the project: It is an eye-catcher of a special kind. The Urban Art Jam at Grundigpark! Fürth is creative and is now getting a little more colorful. Between 16.09. – 18.09. and 23.09. – 25.09.2022, the walls of Grundigpark were transformed into what is probably the largest graffiti project in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.

Around 28 graffiti artists from all over Europe joined forces with local artists from the cloverleaf city, coordinated by Carlos Lorente from Style Scouts and Andreas Stahl. The result is a joint project covering an area of around 800 square meters.

The artists work largely free of charge. They only received a small expense allowance, e.g. free hotel accommodation and meals at the A.B. Hotel Erlangen, the Ambient Hotel Fürth or the Hotel Grauer Wolf in Erlangen. All three hotels have agreed to accommodate and cater for the sprayers.

However, even though the artists did not demand a fee, there were costs for the materials, which Gerold Hedrich, who initiated the campaign with his company H&K Hausverwaltung, estimates at around 20,000 euros. Thanks to Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Jung, the city of Fürth contributed 5,000 euros. The residents of Grundigpark, whose properties are located behind the 250-metre-long wall, are obviously also interested in the project: Numerous individual donations of between 10 and 500 euros have been received from them.

Further income is to follow after completion. The Fürth-based photo artist Axel Eisele has captured the work and, of course, the completed work of art in pictures. His photos will be printed in the desired size on canvas, acrylic glass or aluminum and sold as a limited edition. The proceeds from the sale of the pictures will also initially benefit the graffiti project.If there is also a surplus, it will be donated to the non-profit organization VIVA CON AGUA. This international network of people and organizations campaigns for safe access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation.

And ultimately, the Urban Art Jam project could also become a small Fürth landmark. Thanks to its location below the Alte Veste in Zirndorf, the Grundigpark wall is set to become another eye-catcher.
