GERMANY: Streetart Braunschweig – Weststadt – Am Queckenberg 47 – NASIM NAJI

„Kingfisher“

The artist about the artwork: The facade painting with the kingfisher was created as part of a participation process in 2022. The project was initiated by Kulturpunkt West (City of Braunschweig) with the support of the district management “Social City – Donauviertel”. In the project entitled PartQ “Our House! – Our neighborhood! – Our neighborhood!”, the residents of the house were able to participate from the initial idea generation to the selection of the image motif. Big thanks to all actively involved residents! I then took over the painterly implementation of the work of art on the house facade at Am Queckenberg 47-50. Many thanks, of course, also to the many cooperation partners and supporters of the art project, without whom this participation project would not have been possible: the Minor Wissenschafts Gesellschaft, the Baugenossenschaft Aufbau eG, the district development association Weststadt e.V., the Mätschke painter’s shop, the scaffolding builder Fricke and the paint manufacturer Brillux.  –  NASIM NAJI
