The whole wall is a tribute to 35 years ON THE RUN, with individual styles on the right and a collab writing on the left made by all four artists together.
ON THE RUN, or OTR for short, is one of the most influential names in the history of European graffiti culture. Originally launched as an independent graffiti magazine in the early 1990s, it evolved into a respected publishing platform dedicated to documenting graffiti through high-quality books, artist monographs, and archival projects. Over the years, ON THE RUN has played an important role in preserving the history of graffiti by providing writers with a platform to tell their own stories and document their work.
The legendary writer ZEBSTER, also known as ZEB.ROC.SKI, is one of the key figures behind ON THE RUN. His involvement with OTR extended far beyond graffiti, encompassing publishing, hip-hop, and the documentation of graffiti culture. In 1990, he founded the graffiti magazine, which quickly became one of the most influential German-language graffiti publications of the early 1990s, documenting both the European and international graffiti scenes.
After the magazine ceased publication, ZEBSTER continued the project through the OTR Book Series. Instead of traditional magazines, the series focused on in-depth monographs dedicated to individual writers such as JEPSY, BATES, SEEN or LOOMIT. These books gained international recognition and are widely regarded as important documents of graffiti history.
In addition to OTR, later on ZEBSTER founded MZEE RECORDS and also established the publishing house FROM HERE TO FAME, through which many OTR titles were released. By bringing together graffiti, hip-hop, and archival work under one roof, he made a significant contribution to preserving and documenting these cultures.
In 2011, the OTR series even featured a volume dedicated to ZEBSTER, in which he reflects on the origins of ON THE RUN story, the development of MZEE, and his role in the history of European hip-hop and graffiti evolution. Big Ups for 35 years of awesome work passionate dedication!
