Forchheim is located on the edge of Franconian Switzerland in Bavaria and has a population of around 33.000. The historic town on the Wiesent river looks back on over a thousand years of history and was an important royal court in the Middle Ages. The well-preserved old town with its half-timbered houses and 15th-century town hall is particularly worth seeing. A cultural highlight is the Imperial Palace, which now houses the Palatinate Museum and commemorates the stays of German kings and emperors. The parish church of St. Martin impresses with its Baroque interior, while the remains of the city walls and picturesque alleys invite visitors to take a stroll. Forchheim is also known for the ANNAFEST in the Kellerwald, one of the largest and most traditional folk festivals in Upper Franconia. These photos of urban artworks were take by BAUQUELDIE.
