The southern end of the Überwasserstraße leads to a storage area for sheet metal coils. In the middle of the space there is a graffiti wall which is sprayed on both sides. The wall is regularly used for fantastic spray paintings by the MTW CREW, aka MORE THAN WORDS. It’s also one of the spots at the BACKBOARD JAMS.

At this spot also the BACKBOARD JAM took place for the first time in 2021 in Dortmund’s harbor, followed by two further events on August 27th in 2022 and on August 26th in 2023. The happening was organized by the local hip-hop association KRUPPLYN and the urban art collective MORE THAN WORDS. Over the years, countless fantastic pieces have been created, with painting taking place at several locations. On the map, these are the areas marked in green in the southwest. On this page you can find the works specifically on the wall at Mathies Street 12, but also take a look on the other pieces at Drehbrücken Street 4 also on the Überwasserstraße Graffiti Hall. When visiting the harbor, be sure not to miss the murals in the north and the Hall of Fame on Speicherstraße!
