The HIDDEN TREASURE in Bremen is the world’s first black light urban art festival. The artists work together according to predetermined color concepts, using only black and six blacklight colors. We already published an article about the event in 2023, here are now the photos from the 2024 edition which took place from 2nd till 4th of August at the Alte Werft at Stephanikirchenweide 19. Around 70 national and international artists came to spray and this time the motto was “3D Odyssee”, because the works of art were not only bathed in black light, but 3D glasses were also available for purchase on the site, which catapulted the murals into 3-dimensional space! In addition to the main wall, which was designed by teams like last year, there were also over 40 seperate spots for solo artists. As a highlight of the third edition of this festival, the main wall was completely illuminated with black light at night, creating the largest black light graffiti in the world.
The initiator of this grandiose happening is PETER STÖCKER aka THECUT with his art agency LUCKY WALLS and the team around it. The organizers of HIDDEN TREASURE want to promote and network urban art on an international level with this fantastic event. Another aim is to bring international urban art to Bremen and enrich the city’s cultural landscape with values such as togetherness, creativity and connection, but also respect and considerate interaction. This is why an extensive supporting program of music, parties, culinary delights and creative activities is an integral part of the event.
