The MASCHINENFABRIK or in English the „Machine Factory“ has been an important part of the cultural landscape of the city of Heilbronn since 2020. Concerts, theater, performances and creative events take place here regularly. The space is organized by the non-profit association Freies Kulturzentrum Maschinenfabrik Heilbronn e. V. Around the area there are also a lot of great graffiti and urban artworks of course. This space is a graffiti hot spot since many years and was formerly known as youth center Olga Zentrum. The Maschinenfabrik society about the project: „After more than 10 years of preparatory work, we managed to open a cultural center in the machine factory in 2020, in which Heilbronn’s free cultural scene finally finds a home. We see ourselves as an open house and as a place of communication and happiness, diversity, mutual appreciation, working together, as an experimental area and extended living room „home away from home“ and last but not least as a social hub in the Bahnhofsvorstadt district“.
