The village lies in a hilly area surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and other Mediterranean vegetation. Compared to its small size you can find a lot of urban artworks there, even bigger murals and a long under water concept wall. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Malta / StreetartApart from the promenade, Manoel Island and Duck Village, the district Gżira is rather bare when it comes to street art and graffiti. You find really little, but a few spots are therefore super nice. There is definitely the JUNGLE JOY bar in the Triq L-Msida 2 to mention. The alternative and cosy shop always has good music and the local artist COOKER has painted the interior and part of the exterior facade with colourful jungle animals. At the Bubble Tea Shop GOG on the promenade of Gżira, COOKER has also conjured up a grandiose mural featuring a psycho rabbit. The exact address is 133 The Strand. Right around the corner in Strand Hotel in 115 there is also an interesting painting in the lobby. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Besides several streetart and graffiti works, you can also find creative sculptures of all kind. There are abstract installations, modern pop up statues, funny figurines or traditional monuments. It’s an interesting mix and fits well with the city landscape, and often a funny statue on the corner gives a smile and makes your day while having a walk. This fusion of city, art, and landscape has a long tradition in Busan, ranging from the internationally oriented Sea Art Festival, the outdoor sculptures of the Busan Biennale to the UN Sculpture Park. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Greece / HistoryIt doesn´t matter when you go to Thessaloniki, maybe in winter you won´t go swimming, but this city offers just a wonderful combination of the necessary ingredients to have a desired enjoyable quality of life. I could definitely imagine living there for some month or years. The food is fantastic, the people are cool, sympathetic, social and quite open minded. But still stubborn, of course, they are Greek. But stubborn in a nice meaning. They do it their way. And what I observed I really liked, in a lot of aspects a combination of the old with the new, making something different out of it, but without forgetting anything. Everything stays preserved. In Thessaloniki I could meet interesting people who showed me new innovative ideas in which direction Greek culture can go. We went to amazing and entertaining night clubs, one located in an old Hamam, the other homagely named after the German capital Berlin with a taste of its music. And not to mention, the food is just super awesome. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Besides that you can find numerous artworks in the streets. The district as a whole is just decorated all over with grandiose murals and colorful graffiti. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Britain / Design / Events / StreetartIn 1992, the very first BRISTOL VOLKSFEST was held around a soccer pitch in Almondsbury, Bristol. Founder ADRIAN ASHBY’s idea began as a hobby, offering like-minded VDub enthusiasts the opportunity to display their treasures and exchange parts, knowledge and appreciation for the legendary vehicles. From there, it naturally evolved into one of the UK’s largest VW shows, attracting fans from across the country and abroad every year. As well as the cool vehicles, which are often adorned with airbrushed artwork or creative decorations, you’ll also find graffiti sprayers in action, creating awesome pieces on the adjacent walls with the BUNKER CREW. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
South Korea / StreetartJeonju has about 660,000 inhabitants, is the center of Jeollabuk-do province and is located about 230 km south of the national capital Seoul. The city is quite famous and popular because of its large and well-preserved Hanok Village in historical architectural style, but especially the more hidden Jaman Mural Village is even more worth seeing for fans of urban art. Germany / StreetartToday we show you some masterpieces from Bochum from the „Kings Wall“ at the Universitätsstraße. In autumn 2021 the retaining wall on Universitätsstraße got a new look and 28 graffiti artists were involved in the redesign. About 20 years ago the wall was primarly decorated with large-scale graffiti. Over time, the colors faded and the effect of beautifying the urban space threatened to tip into the opposite due to neglect. To counteract this, the approximately 1,000 square meter area was redesigned with a fantastic colaboration mural project last year. Check out the photos from the magnificent results. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Oman / StreetartWith this country we were really faced with a whole new challenge. Find graffiti and street art in Oman? … Hmmm … is there anything like that? First of all, we can say that so much can be found in architectural art and in a beautiful natural landscape. But with murals it looks more difficult. The whole sultanate consists almost entirely of desert and in the cities everything is kept very „uniform“ and regulated. Nevertheless, Oman is one of the more open and liberal countries on the Arabian Peninsula, worth a visit. And we still found some graffiti stuff, but then you have to look very carefully. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Argentina / NatureLas Grutas is a city located on the Atlantic coast of the Río Negro province in Argentina. It is bathed by the warm, blue waters of the San Matías Gulf. The city gets its name from the incessant carving of the waves on the cliffs, which are up to eight meters high. When the tide rises, the constant pounding of the waves creates marine erosion that gives rise to caves below the cliffs, which are bordered by extensive golden beaches and an absolutely calm ocean. The intense blue sea has one of the warmest temperatures of the entire Argentinean maritime coast. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Cyprus / StreetartCertainly the largest Hall of Fame in Limassol is located in the riverbed of the Amathos River, also called Yermasoyia. The river only carries water seasonally during the winter months and has been used as a large parking lot in the summer since the 1980s, but now also hosts regular events, races and parades. The banks and bridges of the river bed are decorated with countless graffiti for several kilometers along the streets Christaki Kranou and Amerikanas up to the mouth into the sea. From big to small, from good to bad, from King to Toy. The creations also look really interesting with running water. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
