Germany / StreetartToday we show you some masterpieces from Bochum from the „Kings Wall“ at the Universitätsstraße. In autumn 2021 the retaining wall on Universitätsstraße got a new look and 28 graffiti artists were involved in the redesign. About 20 years ago the wall was primarly decorated with large-scale graffiti. Over time, the colors faded and the effect of beautifying the urban space threatened to tip into the opposite due to neglect. To counteract this, the approximately 1,000 square meter area was redesigned with a fantastic colaboration mural project last year. Check out the photos from the magnificent results. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

The city was founded in the late 19th century during a gold rush and named after the gold prospector Joe Juneau. Long before European settlers arrived in the region, the area was home to the Tlingit people, who continue to play an important role in the region’s culture and identity to this day. Their traditions, artwork, and stories shape Juneau’s cultural life and are featured in museums and cultural institutions. South Korea / StreetartNam-gu District is one of Daegu’s centrally located districts and combines on its area urban life with nature and culture. The name “Nam-gu” literally means literally “South District”. Apsan Mountain is particularly well-known; it is a popular destination featuring hiking trails, lookout points, and a cable car from which visitors can enjoy a sweeping view of Daegu. Although it is primarily a residential district, you’ll still find countless works of urban art here; especially at schools and children’s facilities, you can see large murals and wall paintings featuring colorful scenes and lots of funny characters. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Nature / Sri LankaUdapalatha is a small village with a surrounding area full of farms which, in addition to the omnipresent tea cultivation, are mainly involved in vegetable growing. The further you get into the interior of Sri Lanka, the more mountainous and cooler it becomes, where fruit and vegetables thrive under the best conditions. Another advantage of the island, which is close to the equator, is that there is no summer and winter here, just a difference between rain and lots of rain. This means that they can grow and harvest all year round. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Germany / Painter / PerformanceWalking cyborg creatures, pixeled astronauts or simply diagonally painted bodies – the wacky performances of the artist collective “Die Segel“ from Frankfurt are breathtaking productions that captivate visitors in a flood of impressions. The costumes are elaborately selfmade and seem to come from another world, self-composed music plays on the stage and the performers are illuminated with self-produced projections during their performance. It is about breaking down boundaries and playing with images and shadows. Emotional perception also plays an important role, feeling and sensing, connecting the senses and above all, stimulating reflection. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

We visited the different themed levels and give you an insight into this interesting world, where fantastic works get created on each floor. History / ParaguayAsunción is the capital city of Paraguay and is located on the western shore of the Río Paraguay, on the bay of Asunción. The city impresses with the architecture in the colonial style, including the turmoil of the streets and the whole in a somewhat run-down but very friendly and summery inviting area. Asunción has a good 550,000 inhabitants, in the metropolitan area it should be at the 1.9 million. That’s quite a lot, considering that the country has only 6.7 million inhabitants. And it is just green everywhere in all colors. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Design / Estonia / History / StreetartHere is an article for the streetart lovers, especially the fans of abandoned buildings and lost places. At the coast to the Eastern Sea between the Tallinna Sadam harbor and the Kultuurikatel, the culture center, there is the Linnahall located. It´s not really used anymore and this old Mayan pyramid like monument made of grey concrete just gives you some mysterious vibes. It could be as well kind of a medieval sea fortress to protect the coast with gunpowder cannons. But it´s not that old, it was just built in 1980 by the Estonian architects Raine Karp and Riina Altmäe. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Germany / StreetartOn the cycle path on the Mainkai in Offenbach there is a half-ruined wall, in some places more complete, in other places partially crumbled. The jagged, ruinous surfaces offer an interesting underground for graffiti and urban art, with an industrial, crumbling charm. The wall begins at the level of the Hafengarten in the east and runs till the Walter Spiller Bridge. Regularly great graffiti jams and spray sessions take place at this spot. Check out the huge archive! >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Architecture / OmanMuscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, has around 1.5 million inhabitants and is the country’s political, economic, and cultural center. Located between the Gulf of Oman and surrounding mountains, it has a long history as an important trading port connecting Arabia with India, Persia, and East Africa. This heritage is still visible today in landmarks such as the Portuguese forts Al Jalali and Al Mirani, while the modern city has developed in a calm, low-rise style that preserves traditional architecture and a distinct local identity. As Oman’s cultural hub, Muscat is home to key institutions like the National Museum of Oman, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and the Royal Opera House Muscat, alongside a growing contemporary art scene with galleries, exhibitions, and events such as the Muscat Festival, making it a place where history, culture, and striking natural surroundings come together. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Streetart / SwedenDiscomformities with the rules, experiments with novelty and, above all, simply giving a fuck about the name. “It’s about how good you paint and how often you paint that counts”. The creative artist CODE26 from Gothenburg started with graffiti art at the end of the 90s, but his artistic range has since developed extensively and he paints everything from letters and figures to abstract creations. And sometimes he also paints JÖRG. Or whatever occurs to him at the moment and whatever he feels like doing. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Serbia / StreetartIn southwest Belgrade, along Bulevar Vojvode Mišića, the tram line also runs besides the southern side, branching off at the point where the main highway merges with Radnićka highway and combines into a complex traffic junction. From the southward crossing, the tram line follows its own path, and the walls are home to some fantastic graffiti and urban art. It often happens that construction work is taking place at this route and the trams don’t operate for several days or even weeks. But this is ideal for creating larger works in this location.
