This is the same Family Health Center where PRISCILA FERNÁNDEZ TILLERÍA aka PRI, painted a mural in an outside wall in 2019. Six years later, PRI completed another mural this time in one of the interior courtyards, in addition to painting two big canvases in the Family Health Center’s interior waiting rooms.
The interior mural depicts a scene where the community gathers around the doctor. Families with children and others with elderly people and pets are shown, symbolizing the new family structures we see today. The mural reads „Donde hay respeto florece la paz“, which means in English „Where there is respect, peace flourishes„. One of the photography shows PRI’s email address written on the mural.
Moving inside the Family Health Center, in the first waiting room, PRI drew a Mapuche woman surrounded by flowers and medicinal plants that the Mapuche people have used from the natural resources of the Araucanía Region or Wallwapu.
In the second waiting room, PRI painted a Mapuche woman breastfeeding her child. Both are surrounded by Araucaria Araucanas trees, nature and symbols of Mapuche culture.
