On this long wall there are at least 6 crews or artists who left their marks; the artworks were made between 2016 and 2019. And although the graffiti is in an open place and where many people go, the murals looks intact as the day that they were made, without any third party intervention. So, I can also establish here my thesis that “in small cities in Chile there is no competition to find a wall to make graffiti, so that graffiti can remain unperturbed for more than a decade”.
The first graffiti is a flop named BUCK was made by BUCK aka BUCK DEL CRÁNEO.
In turn, this flop is linked to the face of a yellow bird resembling a canary with a jockey cap. It could also be a creation of BUCK himself, which is not entirely clear.
The next graffiti is a flop following the yellow face, where I can’t quite distinguish the letters or the purple tag, it is only clear to me that it was made in 2018.
However, the next flop is an Angol classic, TONS by artist PABLO ANTAY, which is his crew. It was made in 2019 and has a dedication to the police. The light blue border makes the flop looks like it has volume.
Next, we have the flop called ANIMO (“cheer up” in English) with the letter O made out of a devil’s face.
Then you can see the phrase WALLMAPU LIBRE (Mapuche land free).
The mural ends with a red rose and the phrase NEWEN MAPUCHE (Mapuche strength).
This entire mural is in front of a square with a monument to Alberto Larraguibel, illustrious son of Angol, who jumped with his horse “Huaso” the height of 2.47 meters, setting a world record achieved in 1949 in Viña del Mar, Valparaiso, Chile.
Back in these photos where the monument appears on its natural scale, you can see the long walls with the different graffiti.
