Germany / StreetartIn June 2023, a wonderful redesign of the train station in Neuenhagen took place, in which many great graffiti artists took part, but also young people from the district and children from the local schools. The train station is now truly a masterpiece and an open museum of urban art for the city. The motto was named to the regional train number „S5 Aktion“ and to the international movement „Gemeinsam Stark“ which means in English „Strong Together“. Check out the numerous great artworks! >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Germany / StreetartToday we show you some masterpieces from Bochum from the „Kings Wall“ at the Universitätsstraße. In autumn 2021 the retaining wall on Universitätsstraße got a new look and 28 graffiti artists were involved in the redesign. About 20 years ago the wall was primarly decorated with large-scale graffiti. Over time, the colors faded and the effect of beautifying the urban space threatened to tip into the opposite due to neglect. To counteract this, the approximately 1,000 square meter area was redesigned with a fantastic colaboration mural project last year. Check out the photos from the magnificent results. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Egypt / HistoryThe temples of Abu Simbel are two rock temples on the western shore of Lake Nasser. They are located in the Egyptian part of Nubia near the town of Abu Simbel and were built in the 13th century BC under Pharaoh Ramses II of the 19th dynasty of the ancient Egyptian New Kingdom. Between November 1963 and September 1968, a world-wide collaborative project took place to relocate and save the historic and architecturally important site. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Canada / StreetartOn the east side of the Papineau Leblanc Bridge in Montréal’s Sault-au-Récollet neighborhood is a legal graffiti wall, which is filled with great works. Opened in 1969, the bridge was one of the first cable-stayed bridges in North America and is part of the Quebec Autoroute 19, which connects Laval and Montréal across the Rivière des Prairies river. The entire Sault-au-Récollet district was declared a heritage site by the City of Montréal in 1992 and is well worth a visit. Check out the graffiti collection from the open spray spot at the bridge wall. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

The Icon Walk runs through the district with innovative and interesting works and in Bedford Lane, just around the corner from the Icon Factory, there is a special project wall on which the artist and project member Kevin Bohan creates grandiose murals at regular intervals with changing artists. Painter / Streetart / VenezuelaThe empathic and finger-pointing shamans are spread across the world, intended to evoke and draw attention, fascinating to look at but also thought-provoking. The Venezuelan artist KOZ DOS and the creative group around him have been creating magnificent murals across the globe for many years. Always with a touching message and a reminder of our connection with nature. We spoke with the great artist in an interview. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Britain / History / NatureAberystwyth ist just a really lovely, cute place, full of young people from all over the European Union because of its famous university,  which looks like Hogward from the Harry Potter movies. The little refuge is a brilliant destination, if you want to calm down and rest for a while in a chilled area. Close to Aberystwyth is also the small picturesque town of Borth which sits above a vast beach where you feel as if suspended between heaven and earth, between the past and the present. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
South Korea / StreetartWe already showed you the streetart and figurative works from Itaewon, this time it is now about the graffiti. The district is one of the city’s party neighbourhood, with countless bars, clubs, and restaurants, and there is always something going on here around the clock. Compared to the more conservative cityscape, this district looks a little different and you can clearly see the international influences of the former US military base Yongsan. Accordingly, there is also a lot of graffiti and lettering pieces here, much more than anywhere else in the city, where graffiti is rather rare. Check out the great collection! >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Brazil / StreetartToday we have another colorful, interesting and authentic interview for you with a fantastic artist from São Paulo in Brazil. We introduce you to the heartful painter and creative graffiti sprayer Daniel Bazco, to his art, his thinking and his mission to bring more life and positive energy into the cities and the minds of the people. Daniel Bazco’s motifs are mostly about flora and fauna, but he also likes to paint portraits and characters. In doing so, he often chooses special people whom he would like to remember, but also people who deserve criticism. What all of his works have in common, however, is that they shine with strong color intensity. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

France / StreetartThese photos were taken in Le Gurp in the south of France. Artful colours decorate the remains of the bunkers and former fortifications on the Atlantic coast, which are sinking more and more into the sand. Every year, sprayers and artists come from the neighbouring villages and from Angouleme, one of the strongholds of graffiti art in France. The redecorated bunkers shown are located in the bay of Le Gurp, the nearest place by the sea is Montalivet in the south. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Events / Germany / StreetartAfter the great first edition of the WOLFSBURG GRAFFITI JAM in 2020, this fantastic happening went into its second edition in 2023. The 150 meters long garage walls at Lindenstraße 31 in the Vorsfelde district were redesigned by 32 artists from September 1st to 3rd. Czechia / StreetartPrague is the capital of the Czech Republic and is also known as the „City of a Hundred Towers“. It has around 1.3 million inhabitants and lies on the Vltava River. Worth seeing are the colorful baroque buildings in the Old Town, the Gothic churches and medieval buildings. One of the city’s landmarks is the Charles Bridge with a series of statues dating back to 1402. There is also plenty of streetart and graffiti throughout the city, for example one of the probably oldest „Halls of Fame“ in the world, the LENNON WALL, which has been a symbol of freedom and peace since the 1980s. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Nicaragua / StreetartMérida is a small village in the west of the island of Ometepe in southwestern Nicaragua with a population of around 1.000. The chilled place is located at the foot of the Maderas volcano and like the whole island of Ometepe, Mérida was already settled by indigenous groups in pre-Hispanic times, as evidenced by petroglyphs and archaeological finds in the surrounding area. Of course, you can also find beautiful urban artworks in the streets. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Morocco / StreetartThe small enclave of Tamnougalt is a Berber village with around 500 inhabitants near the small town of Agdz in the Draa Valley in southern Morocco. In the middle of nowhere stands an old clay building complex, where a large number of urban artworks have been created by a group of artists around DAVID CHOE for the IGLOO HONG project. The mix of abstract paintings, portraits and graffiti together with the isolation in the Moroccan hinterland is simply magnificent. This place is actually a small art gallery that no one knows about. >>> READ MORE   [...] Read more...
Cinema / Germany / MusicHis name is actually Tomasz. Take the first two and the last two letters, the „s“ is converted to „5“ and the artist name is finished. TO5Z is a hobbyist, a creative, whose artistic works pervades several genres. Generally he produces music, but then combines the result with visuals. As a painter, he makes a picture, a graphic or a collage for his track. This portrait, in turn, then acts as a catalyst for the final puzzle piece of his project work during the creation: a high-quality music video. The works are thus created in an extensive reciprocal process in the mind of the artist, in his workshop, in the studio and at locations. The results are awesome. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Argentina / StreetartThe province of Córdoba, renowned for its natural beauty and traditions, is also a hotbed of artistic expression that emerges on its streets. Urban art in this area isn’t confined to conventional galleries; walls, facades, and public spaces transform into stages of expression where every brushstroke tells a story. Bold murals, laden with symbolism and inviting reflection, stand as a testament to local identity. With vibrant color palettes, these artistic interventions communicate both tradition and modernity, turning each neighborhood into an open gallery accessible to all. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
History / Italy / StreetartIn the mountains of Sardinia is the small picturesque village of Orgosolo. And it is indeed picturesque that it resembles a small art gallery. The streets and houses are completely decorated with fascinating wall paintings, with the so-called “Murales”. The works are often interspersed with the content of the protest or with paroles and slogans, the motifs also often show political or historically important scenes. But of course there are also a lot of other themes and motifs involved and time by time some new artwork is getting added. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Nature / South AfricaOn a trip to South Africa and Cape Town, the picturesque Cape of Good Hope is of course one of the main spots you should have seen. The spectacularly shaped peninsula between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans rises like an arrow into the maritime border area and frames a paradisiac white sandy beach, where turquoise blue waves break. We stayed for a few days in Mothercity, as Cape Town is often called, and explored the region by rental car. As far as you can handle the traffic on the left, this is probably the cheapest and most flexible exploration opportunity. Of course, many things also go by public transport and countless tours and day trips are offered, but if you want to avoid the big tourist crowds and prefer a free time schedule, then we clearly recommend the rental car. The easiest way to book the vehicle you want at Avis, Europcar, Budget, Tempest or Thrifty is to pick up and drop off directly at the airport. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Ireland / Painter / Social / StreetartKevin Bohan came to art and graffiti via detours, but better later than never. For far too long he was working in unsatisfactory jobs, he didn’t pursue what was inside him, which eventually led to many years of depression. But the way out of the dark corner was finally painting and creative design. Art is his medicine. Over the years Kevin has done countless fantastic murals in Dublin and throughout Ireland, either on his own or in collaboration with other renowned sprayers. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Cinema / Illustration / ItalyThe National Museum of Cinema, in collaboration with the University of Turin, pays tribute to cinema of the past and present. The photographic exhibition, which is taking place from 20th July 2021 till 7th March 2022, retraces over a century of Italian cinema through the bodies and the faces of the actresses and actors who have made it famous throughout the world. A journey down memory lane, back in time: the flashback begins with today’s stars of the silver and small screen and ends with the icons of silent cinema. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
