Welcome to Vagabundler!

A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 240.000 photos in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. If you find any mistakes or missing information, just send us a message. We are creating, building and changing on this website all the time – but – of course!  If there is free time…. we travel and explore!!!

Chile / StreetartThe Metropolitan Technological University (UTEM) is a higher education institution founded in 1993. At the time these photographs were taken some courses such as design and art were taught at this study headquarters, which is why the entire building was covered in streetart. Today it houses the university’s administrative units and, therefore, graffiti, stencils and tags are no longer seen on its walls. Bosnia-Herzegovina / StreetartMostar is the largest city in Herzegovina, the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the sixth largest city in the country with 113,000 inhabitants. Since 2012 great artworks get created throughout the city during the fantastic STREET ARTS FESTIVAL MOSTAR, or SAFMO for short, which is organized annually by the REZON ASSOCIATION. France / StreetartIn the north of Nice in the municipality of Castagniers, between the Vallon de Massac and the Vallon de Roguez, lies the city’s necropolis with its cemetery and cremation site. The water flows from the mountain towards the foot of the Var river via the two Vallons and above the Necropolis area the inflow is channeled into a concreted canal. This can carry a lot of water at peak times, but often it is simply empty. So of water, but not of color. Because the walls are filled with great graffiti which have accumulated over many years. Germany / StreetartThe Island of Poel is located in the Wismar Bay in the Baltic Sea near the city of Wismar. In 1997 it became a state-approved resort, and since 2004 the municipality has been known as the Ostseebad. Photographer and streetart hunter Holger Peter paid a visit to the Island of Poel and found several beautiful works of art spread over the area. Events / Italy / StreetartOn the weekend of May 8th and 9th in 2021, the great URBAN JAM took place in Turin with three spray locations, 30 artists and 200 meters of running wall painted with bright colors and in a wide variety of styles. One location was Via Giacomo Dina, a second one was the large Hall of Fame at Parco Dora and another spot was at Corso Regina, where a special „Abstract vs Lettering“ action took place. Poland / StreetartToru? is located in the Polish voivodeship Kujawsko-Pomorskie and has about 200,000 inhabitants. The old town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, worth seeing are also the seat of the Voivodeship Parliament, the University of Toru?, the Roman Catholic Bishopric and overall the buildings in the city held in North German Brick Gothic. Events / Germany / StreetartOn March 8th is the annual International Women’s Day and this year the third edition of the great FLINTA* GRAFFITI JAM will take place again at the Berlin Mauerpark. The acronym FLINTA* stands for women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people. The asterisk at the end is intended to include further variations in gender diversity. According to the meaning, the event is about variety, diversity, respect and equality. In 2022 and 2023 two editions of this fantastic event already happenend with numerous awesome artworks. Events / Spain / StreetartThose great artworks were created close to the Spanish town of Mojácar during the fantastic jam TRAVELGRAFF in 2018. It is a national contest with numerous Spanish artists from the Almeria region and also from other parts of the country. The motto of the jam was „Nuestro medioambiente y el suyo“, which means in English „Our environment and yours“. South Korea / Sports / StreetartLocated in the Busan district Sasang-gu is Korea’s largest skateboarding space. The huge indoor skate hall MONOLVGAR offers professional training for local skaters, product sales and consultation by the skateboard brand and association MONOPATIN, who also founded the skate park and organizes regular skate contests and cool events. The outside facades of this place are also very interesting, because they are covered with numerous graffiti and characters. Germany / StreetartOn April 9th in 2022, the new Hall of Fame on Speicherstraße in Dortmund’s harbor district was inaugurated with a big opening jam featuring more than 80 artists. Since then, spray painting and creativity on the walls have been permitted there freely and legally. The urban art and design agency MORE THAN WORDS is the patron of the spray space and regularly colorful graffiti events take place such as the HAFENSPAZIERGANG. The 625-meter-long wall separates a fenced-off industrial wasteland at Dortmund harbor from an allotment garden in the east. Serbia / StreetartIn Belgrade between the streets Takovska, Vojvode Dobrnjca and Bulevar Despota Stefana, there is a large backyard with a parking lot and a recreation area for residents. Basically, it is a large concreted space with a few benches. Not necessarily nice for relaxing, but ideal for colorful art on the wall. And there is plenty of it here, from characters to numerous graffiti. Eswatini / StreetartThe small town of Malkerns is located in the Middleveld in the Manzini region on the Lusutfu River and has a population of around 9700 inhabitants. Cambodia / GastroIn fact, when discovering a country, you should of course immerse yourself in the local cuisine and homemade specialities and explore the unknown flavours. But we had been travelling in Asia for a while and hadn’t eaten real good bread for a long time. You rarely find this around, let alone a real pizza. Germany / StreetartAfter a long process, the GRAFFITI LOBBY BERLIN and the youth culture center DIE KLINKE were able to inaugurate a new Hall of Fame in Berlin’s Marzahn district in May 2021. The outer wall of the local fire station department was cleared for artistic designs and has been a legal hall ever since. The wall surface is around 4 meters high and around 30 meters long, ideal for graffiti jams and fantastic concept walls, which are created there again and again. Streetart / SwedenTrollhättan is a town with 59.000 inhabitants and is located in the western Swedish province of Västra Götalands. Worth seeing are the neo-Gothic church, the historic canal or the stone box of Sjökullen. Sweden’s third largest gold treasure was found here during archaeological excavations, but the city’s real gems are on the house walls in the form of urban art. Ecuador / StreetartCuenca was founded on April 12, 1557 as ‚Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos de Cuenca‘ by the Governor and Captain General of Quito Gil Ramírez Dávalos. With around half a million inhabitants, it is the third largest city in Ecuador and the capital of the province of Azuay. It is located south of Quito in an Andean highland basin at an altitude around 2600 meters with the Río Tomebamba flowing through the city. Holger Peter (PeterEatAndArt) from Berlin joined and is building up the Streetart Map of Berlin with extensive infos about the artists and meanwhile with over 9700 pages and more than 84.000 photos. He is also doing the map for Rheine and the Island Poel

Analiá Pertusi aka Perts Jam joined and is building up a fantastic archive for the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires and as well for the Chascomus Map.

World traveller Mazzanti from Sweden contributes great photos for the Stockholm Map and for numerous places from all around the world.

Bart Hagel aka Street Art Damsko and Killer Leentje contribute awesome material for the Amsterdam Map.

Gail Lochner from Ecuador joined and is building up the map of Cuenca with fantastic artworks.

Agnieszka Pisarska (Piece of Streetart) contributes great galleries of cities in Poland and is building up the Streetart Map of Wroc?aw!

The Nomads on Wheels are travelling around the world in their van and sending awesome photos. Meanwhile we have great collections from 72 places.

Caley Costley (BobBleu) from California, USA joined and is building up the Streetart Map of Los Angeles.

Frankfurt Map reached 2000 spots and offers more than 27.000 photos to explore! As well there are lots of new updates to several places.

The worldmap with all the locations where we collected streetart and graffiti or did interesting interviews. Click on the colored fields and check out the content of each country. For several places it goes even into an additional level deeper and there are city maps.
