Welcome to Vagabundler!

A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 240.000 photos in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. If you find any mistakes or missing information, just send us a message. We are creating, building and changing on this website all the time – but – of course!  If there is free time…. we travel and explore!!!

Estonia / StreetartTelliskivi Loomelinnak, or in English “Creative City”, is located in Tallinn west of the Old Town in an old industrial complex and is an art centre with galleries, small shops, various creative businesses, start-ups and catering establishments. The campus hosts more than 800 different cultural events throughout the year. Apart from that, the place is one big urban art museum and the walls are covered with great artworks, from small graffiti to huge murals. South Korea / StreetartThe underground shopping center at Gangnam Terminal in Seoul is also known as “Goto Mall” and is directly connected to the subway lines. There are more than 600 shops, restaurants, and boutiques located beneath the surface. Along an around 500-meter-long walkway passage, the magnificent “24 Hours Project” was created at the RAEMIAN ONE BAILEY STREETART GALLERY, in which 24 renowned Korean urban artists each created a work that deals with a specific hour of the day. Ghana / SocialThe Noyaa School in Jamestown is located in the middle of a fisher community near the harbour in Accra. The infra structure of the area is in very bad state and the whole neighborhood is run-down. The citizens live under poor conditions and are focusing their lives mainly on fishing and preparing the catch. It is even more difficult to bring education to the children, because they have to help at work from early age. The voluntary teachers of the Noyaa School do a remarkable job there! Architecture / Chile / HistoryThe photographer Salvador Seda has been working on the Angol Streetart Map in Chile since quite a while and fills it with interesting stories and great photographs. His focus is often on the history of the urban art and the spot. In that case obviously it makes sense to explore abandoned places and Salvador is a big fan of Urbex. During an adventurous tour of discovery, the streetart hunter visited the Ilabaca Hospital, which had been out of order for decades. The dilapidated buildings and half-collapsed rooms have something eerie but at the same time also something attractive, which arouses curiosity. Chile / StreetartThe UNCTAD III complex, including the 23 story tower, was built to host the UN conference on trade and development, held in April 1972 in Santiago, Chile. Once the conference was over, the architectural complex was used, as it was originally conceived, as a cultural center open to the people and called „Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral“ or in short GAM. Netherlands / StreetartA very cool new street art spot in the center of Amsterdam opened its doors not long ago! It’s called the Secret Garden and you can access this hidden gem via Nicholas Groente & Fruit at Sint Nicolaasstraat 19. It’s a cute little shop that sells high quality artisanal (food) products and art. As well they have comics, books, posters and prints. The lovely store is run by Brian and the little associated backyard gallery called Secret Garden has meanwhile 50 artworks and still counting! The entrance is free for everyone. Poland / StreetartRzeszów is the largest city in southeastern Poland and the capital of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. BelizeIn between a little photo gallery about the city of Chan Chen where you can cross the frontier from México to Belize. The small border town with just around 700 residents is located in the Corozal District and consists mainly of indigenous inhabitants who speak Yucatecan Maya. Germany / StreetartOne of the hot spots and most important graffiti halls in Heidelberg is located under the Ernst Walz Bridge, where there is also a skate park. The bridge section on the north bank of the Neckar river has been declared a legal graffiti space and you can regularly find countless great graffiti here. Spain / StreetartMálaga is the second largest city in Andalusia and with around 570.000 inhabitants one of the biggest metropolises in Spain. Besides the interesting sights like the Arab Fort Palace Alcazaba, the Iglesia de Santiago, the Castillo de Gibralfaro or the Teatro Romano, it is also home to one of the most important universities in the country. France / StreetartAlong the beginning of the Avenue du XVème Corps in the French city of Nice including the east area below the bridge that passes under the large street Voie Pierre Mathis, there is a great legal spray space and a Graffiti Hall of Fame. The east side of the bridge wall in the underpass is officially open for painting, as is the eastern southern section of the ramp wall, which stretches for around 100 meters but gradually decreases in size. Germany / StreetartA former distillery in the Berlin district Reinickendorf is turning into a campus for arts, culture, food, technology and sustainability. The site of the disused Monopol factory is being converted into a cultural venue and various creative companies and artists have now settled there in order to develop a creative location. On the buildings and the site is a large number of artworks and for sure more are going to come. Estonia / Events / StreetartFrom 2007 till 2016 the dance and culture association JJ STREET organized the great urban art jam BALTIC SESSION where besides the dance competition also numerous graffiti artists decorated a large backyard and the adjacent warehouses on the premises of the Telliskivi Loomelinnak. This open wall was called „Balta Legal“, but unfortunately in April 2020 the spray spot got demolished. Italy / StreetartIn Borgo San Paolo on the north-eastern side of Parco Braccini and along the two streets Via Gabriele D’Annunzio and Via Spalato, they pass directly along the park, there is a fantastic urban art paradise and graffiti hall of fame. On either side of both streets are long concrete walls, which are filled with cool pieces. An awesome spray space area, and it’s quite huge! The exhibition highlights influential pieces from Banksy and can be perceived as the framework of his career. Germany / StreetartAfter a long process, the GRAFFITI LOBBY BERLIN and the youth culture center DIE KLINKE were able to inaugurate a new Hall of Fame in Berlin’s Marzahn district in May 2021. The outer wall of the local fire station department was cleared for artistic designs and has been a legal hall ever since. The wall surface is around 4 meters high and around 30 meters long, ideal for graffiti jams and fantastic concept walls, which are created there again and again. Norway / StreetartThe district of Tøyen is multi-culturally populated, less prosperous and characterised by a lively neighbourhood. Tøyen offers beautiful green areas such as the BOTA-NISH GARDEN and the Tøyen Park. Life prefers to take place on the streets. There are various ethnic shops, great and trendy bars, cafes and nice restaurants. It is bordered to the south by Grønland. Tøyen has many peculiarities. Holger Peter (PeterEatAndArt) from Berlin joined and is building up the Streetart Map of Berlin with extensive infos about the artists and meanwhile with over 9700 pages and more than 84.000 photos. He is also doing the map for Rheine and the Island Poel

Analiá Pertusi aka Perts Jam joined and is building up a fantastic archive for the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires and as well for the Chascomus Map.

World traveller Mazzanti from Sweden contributes great photos for the Stockholm Map and for numerous places from all around the world.

Bart Hagel aka Street Art Damsko and Killer Leentje contribute awesome material for the Amsterdam Map.

Gail Lochner from Ecuador joined and is building up the map of Cuenca with fantastic artworks.

Agnieszka Pisarska (Piece of Streetart) contributes great galleries of cities in Poland and is building up the Streetart Map of Wroc?aw!

The Nomads on Wheels are travelling around the world in their van and sending awesome photos. Meanwhile we have great collections from 72 places.

Caley Costley (BobBleu) from California, USA joined and is building up the Streetart Map of Los Angeles.

Frankfurt Map reached 2000 spots and offers more than 27.000 photos to explore! As well there are lots of new updates to several places.

The worldmap with all the locations where we collected streetart and graffiti or did interesting interviews. Click on the colored fields and check out the content of each country. For several places it goes even into an additional level deeper and there are city maps. Besides urban art you will also find many articles about helpful projects, unique architecture and beautiful nature. Just the good things!
