A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 280.000 photos from 100 countries in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. Africa / Ghana / SocialThe Volta Home – also known as Ve Deme Orphanage – is situated in Ve Deme in the Afadjato South constituency of the Volta Region. The facility was founded by pastor Issa Dan Annabi and his wife about 30 years ago. They came as missionaries to this poor and rural area and noticed the urgend support these people here needed in many social issues. They did not only take care of the orphans, they establish as well supportive aid for older people and the ones who need caring help. Meanwhile the son Emmanuel takes care of the organisation and the leading of the orphanage….

Events / Germany / StreetartThe fantastic graffiti jam SUMMA MADNEZZ has been taking place in Bremerhaven since 2010 and brings together local and international artists every year to create a huge wall. Initially the event took place at different locations, but since 2015 the organizer and artist THOE and his colleagues have been provided with a 400-meter-long wall in Oststraße at the Fischereihafen quarter. The façade of a former shipbuilding hall is ideal for large-scale creations and every year amazing artworks are sprayed here by more than 50 participants under a specific motto.

Events / Germany / StreetartFrom 24th to 26th July 2026 the Güterhallenweg in Mosbach became a meeting point for the international urban art and graffiti scene. Around 40 artists from different parts around the globe came together to create a large-scale mural across a total wall area of 1.100 square meters at the GRAFFITI FESTIVAL MOSBACH. The result was a unique open-air gallery in the heart of Mosbach, bringing together different styles and perspectives from the international streetart and graffiti world.

Nature / Sri LankaMirissa is located on the south coast of Sri Lanka and is a small surfing mecca, which is why you will find numerous surfboards in the water here, especially in the morning and evening hours. Due to a number of natural or man-made bays, different beaches have also been created, as well as small points of interest such as Coconut Tree Hill or Parrot Rock. Poland / StreetartLeszno is a beautiful, medium-sized town in south-western Greater Poland (Wielkopolska), near the border with Silesia with a multinational and multicultural character. Many open-air events are organized throughout the year like the Glider Picnic, the Baroque Plus music festival or Leszno Delights. The City Theater, which is the first new public theater in Poland in 40 years, has also been operating here since 2016. And of course the city is also peppered with grandiose murals and beautiful street art.

Comic / Israel / Painter / StreetartAt the beginning of the year, the artist Tamir Shefer from Tel Aviv visited Frankfurt for the fantastic exhibition „Echos” at the Kunstverein Familie Montez. Works by him and nine other artists were shown, five of them from Israel, five from Germany. Tamir paints on canvases but also has a special preference for streetart and large-scale wall design in urban spaces. In the gallery rooms of the exhibition, he even painted some works directly and freshly on the interior façade. Of course we interviewed the creative artist!

North Macedonia / StreetartIn the Karpoš district of Skopje, at Volgogradska 7, you can do two fantastic things at once. Here you’ll find the amazing burger place SENDVICARA RENDE, or simply RENDE. They serve excellent burgers and are highly recommended for a food break. The place is also covered in graffiti, both along the row of shops and around the building. Especially the artists DRASH and RASK have left their mark, as their studios are located nearby in the neighbourhood. Check out the great artworks and have a burger stop when you are around.

Cyprus / StreetartGrigori Afxentiou is a bigger street going from west to east leading from Larnaka center to the beach. It is an urban area with many multi-storey residential buildings and accordingly there are also several parking areas, and there you can find lots of graffiti and artworks on the walls. On the main street are some stores that have been decorated by artists and there are also beautiful works of art at a nearby school. The artist PAPARAZZI in particular, whose studio is just around the corner, has left behind a number of creations and continues to create new ones.

Serbia / StreetartThe area around the Poenkareova street in Belgrade is basically a comprehensive graffiti space if you look at the pieces lined up one after the other. It stretches in along a crossroad, which splits and leads over a bridge above itself. There is also an abandoned building on the corner that is used extensively for urban art. On the facades and also inside you can find lots of writing pieces, but also interesting characters or graphic streetart.

Culturists / Nature / South AfricaWe went to a wonderful morning hike through the bush, had a safari in the afternoon and went even for a night drive. The two days at Andy´s Camp in the Balule Nature Reserve during our Safari through the northeast of South Africa have been just a fascinating experience. If you want to get some insights to the other parts of the tour, check the country page with the map. This article here is about the quite interesting bush walk we did with Ranger Joe Maiapane and Jika Tibana where they educated us about the surrounding nature, the wildlife and gave us special knowledge about the animal dung.

Britain / StreetartThe British Sprayer Keiron Curly Whitehead changes the face of his surroundings and is doing this in several ways, totally open minded with honesty but as well with a radical uncompromising way. CURLY is a member of The Secret Society of Super Villain Artists and his range of creative work is basically graffiti and streetart, but as well canvas, drawing and actually everything you can paint on. His saying: As long as the paint can stick on it, I paint it. The sprayer from Darwen loves to do walls but did also already all kinds of vehicles. Events / StreetartFrom 25th to 27th of July in 2025, the fantastic HAFEN JAM took place again in Raunheim, with 137 artists expected to attend this year. The long harbor wall with its two underpasses was completely redesigned with magnificent graffiti. The musical lineup was also impressive once again, featuring great hip hop MCs and DJs. Almost 15 years ago, MIAMI NEIß and MASEI ONE launched the first event. In 2019, DJ SAPIKO came on board and TEAM ANTIGRAU was founded, which has been organizing the legendary event annually ever since. Meanwhile it has grown into a huge festival.

Germany / Nature / PhotographyThe annual Federal Garden Show (Bundesgartenschau) of 2019 took place from April 17th to October 6th in Heilbronn. On around 40 hectares between the old arm of the river Neckar and the new Neckar Canal there were heaps of garden constructions, plants and flowers exhibitions and a seperate three-hectare city project with 23 architecturally innovative buildings presented. The green relaxing area is still there and the council keeps it running with cultural events, music concerts or nature workshops. This little innercity flower and insect paradise is open for visitors after paying an enctrance fee. Here is a new 2020 collection of recent nature close up shots by the Heilbronn based photographer André Gellrich.

Architecture / History / South KoreaJeonju Hanok Village is the largest Hanok Village in Korea, with about 700 Hanok buildings around Pungnam-dong. „Hanok“ is a traditional Korean house. The cultural site is the only Hanok complex in a downtown area in the whole country. The development history started in 1910, holding important cultural heritage including Gyeonggijeon shrine, Omokdae, and the Confucian School Hanggyo. About 20 other cultural facilities are dispersed in every corner of the Hanok Village. It’s a famous tourist site in Korea where all kinds of traditional Korean culture are showcased, including food, paper, songs, costumes and oriental medicine.

Bosnia-Herzegovina / Sports / StreetartThe Asim Ferhatović Hase Stadium in Sarajevo is the largest soccer stadium in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It opened in 1950, features a natural grass playing field measuring 103 × 65 meters and has a seating capacity of 30,121 today. Since 2004, the stadium has been named after club legend Asim Ferhatović “Hase,” one of the country’s most prominent soccer players. Around the stadium, you’ll inevitably find countless soccer graffiti and tributes created by the local ultras, the HORDE ZLA, also named HZ or UNFKS for short.

Asia / LaosWhile we passed the beautiful village Vang Vieng during our Laos trip we visited the Karst Mountains, heaps of nice lagoons and caves and took as well part at the tubing of course. But the real good offers and choices we unfortunately found only in the end of our stay. Like always, you get to the best things just in the end. We didn´t experience the tours ourselves, but still we brought you a lot of amazing photographs and interesting interviews. Just in case if you should be around there one day. Atelier / Culturists / Estonia / StreetartWe visited this fantastic artful place even twice and each time there was something completely new about it. First there is the long streetart mural of course which you can see while just passing by. It was made during the Mextonia Festival organized by the Mexican private platform Nueve Arte Urbano and the Estonian private company Todoes uno Eesti in 2017. Artists collaborated and left some awesome graffitis and color on the town walls. We did as well an interview with the Andres Mesner, the ownder of the inside existing art gallery called “Kalaranna Kultuurikuur” or in short form just „KaKu“.

Events / StreetartThe HIDDEN TREASURE in Bremen is the world’s first black light urban art festival. The artists work together according to predetermined color concepts, using only black and six blacklight colors. Today we present you the photos from the 2024 edition which took place from 2nd till 4th of August at the Alte Werft at Stephanikirchenweide 19. Around 70 national and international artists came to spray and this time the motto was “3D Odyssee”, because the works of art were not only bathed in black light, but 3D glasses were also available for purchase on the site, which catapulted the murals into 3-dimensional space!
