A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 280.000 photos from 100 countries in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. If you find any mistakes or missing information, just send us a message. We are creating, building and changing on this website all the time – but – of course! Comic / Illustration / Italy / PainterThe works of the Italian artist Claudio Parentela from Catanzaro are basically a creative combination of a multitude of works of art. In turn, he often created these parts individually himself. In other words, pictures were painted, photos taken, cutouts sawn, glued or stapled from a wide variety of materials. RomaniaPhoto Gallery about all kind of vehicles we found during our road trip through the Banat. Included are horse trailors like you see on the main pic, but as well cars, bicycles, trains, trams, buses, trucks, tractors and even quads. There are beetles, police cars, driveable lawn mowers and sportscars. The age range is diverse as well, in the collection you can find quite new luxury cars, as well oldtimers or just left over car trash. And of course, al lot of people still trust in the good old bike or the 1 PS strong horse.

Romania / StreetartDuring the OUTLINE STREETART FESTIVAL in 2020 great artworks were created by members of the fabulous SWEET DAMAGE CREW in the Bucharest suburb Vitan at Șoseaua Bârzești. The talented crew consists of the artists BIEX, BOEME, CAGE, LOST.OPTICS, PANDELE, RECIS and SHATR. Except for BOEME and SHATR, all team members were involved and delivered beautiful creative works from the flora and fauna theme. In addition, the befriended artist GABRIELA FLOREA was also invited to the session and painted a beautiful ladybug.

Greece / StreetartExarchia is a district of the Greek capital Athens and famous for it’s avant-garde and alternative scene. This page here is specifically about graffiti and great urban art in this neighbourhood, whose alleys are filled from top to bottom with magnificent works. The murals are often marked by political messages, interspersed with anarchist bookshops or stores for rare records and vintage stuff. The bars and clubs regularly host live concerts of all kinds of music and there is a fun and lively nightlife.

Nature / OmanA wadi is a valley or river that often leads to water only after heavy rains. Surprising flash floods can be caused by distant thunderstorms that fall in the correspondingly large catchment area of the wadi. The stay in Wadis with steep banks, but also in very wide wadis can become life-threatening in such cases. We went on a exploring tour to see some of those wadis, in summer time there is definitly no danger, maybe you could fall asleep and drown while relaxing in warm chilled basins and swimming pool like valleys of the wadis. One of the those famous and fantastic wadis is Wadi Shab, which we visited on our journey.

Italy / StreetartAlong the tracks of Verona Porta Nuova station on Stradone Santa Lucia street, there is a huge graffiti wall almost a kilometer long with numerous fantastic works that change again and again. The fantastic TOP 2 BOTTOM graffiti jam organized by the ASSOCIAZIONE STREET SCALIGERA has also been held here in 2019 and 2023, where countless artists came together for a memorial day in honor of the artist NAPE, who died in 2018, and dedicate several works to him. PIERO SPADAROTTO aka NAPE lived from 4th August 1980 to 6th September 2018 and was one of the most important graffiti writers in Verona.

You should also keep your eyes open to allow inspiration and conception. Art is timeless, just as there are no prescribed rules, a minimum or maximum age, a condition of academic art training or other certificates. The ideas and creativity come from within yourself, the other elements that are certainly helpful are just building blocks that you can use when the time comes. Finland / StreetartHiedanranta is an old factory area west of Tampere and a real oasis of urban art. Countless great works can be found on the walls and huge murals on the old warehouse buildings. In 2018 the event SPRAYCANKONTROL took place in combination with the legendary jam series MEETING OF STYLES and some works from this event are still there, but of course new graffiti are also being created regularly. Albania / StreetartShkodër or Shkodra is a city with approximately 61,000 inhabitants in northern Albania between Lake Skadar and the rivers Kir, Drin, and Buna. Many historical buildings from the Illyrians, Romans, and Ottomans bear witness to the long history of this cultural center. Worth seeing are the Rozafa Castle, the Mesi Bridge and the Ebu Bekr Mosque, as well as more modern sights such as the Venice Art Mask Factory and the Site of Witness and Memory. The first photographs of the country were taken in Shkodër, so a visit to the Marubi National Museum of Photography, is also recommended. Of course, you will also find urban art and large murals in the streets.

Events / Germany / StreetartAfter the great first edition of the WOLFSBURG GRAFFITI JAM in 2020, this fantastic happening went into its second edition in 2023. The 150 meters long garage walls at Lindenstraße 31 in the Vorsfelde district were redesigned by 32 artists from September 1st to 3rd. This time the motto was „Save the animals“ and on a total of more than 400 m² fascinating natural landscapes were created in combination with graffiti writing and various animal characters. The event was once again organized by DANIEL EYRICH and the crew PAYURDUES.

Streetart / USAJuneau is the capital of the U.S. state of Alaska and has a population of approximately 32.000 inhabitants. The city was founded in the late 19th century during a gold rush and named after the gold prospector Joe Juneau. Long before European settlers arrived in the region, the area was home to the Tlingit people, who continue to play an important role in the region’s culture and identity to this day. Greece / History / StreetartThe abandoned Myloi train station is located in the Argolis region of the Peloponnese, not far from the city of Nafplio. It was opened around 1886 as part of the expansion of the Peloponnesian narrow-gauge railway network. With the progressive decline of regional rail traffic from the 1970s onwards, the station increasingly lost its importance and the operations were finally discontinued in the early 2000s. Since then, the site has been considered a “lost place”. Particularly striking are the stationary, partly heavily weathered carriages and locomotives that still stand on the tracks, also numerous graffiti cover the walls and parked vehicles.

Initially, it was difficult to reach by land due to the lack of a road through the rainforest. Architecture / GermanyThe photos of selected subway stations in Dortmund were taken a few years ago and the focus in these images was on the symmetrical arrangement of the underground architecture and on its geometric brutality. You can attest to an artistic concept in some stations – just like the spray can works, but it is a visual and mathematical contrast. No freestyle, but the architectural interpretation of the linear, cold functionality of buildings. Still they are charming and definitly interesting creations in urban space.

After seven years of URBAN NATURE in Hannover the organizers changed the name to GLOCKE FESTIVAL and hosted the first edition around the Glocksee Hall of Fame, the Independent Youth and Cultural Center and several other buildings around from 7th till 10th May in 2026. The plan is to paint new surfaces on those walls once a year. Check out the huge gallery from this year’s event and the numerous styles, characters and abstract works.

We were in Riga, the capital of Latvia, last week, looking for local street art and graffiti. The city is definitely worth a visit, whether as a stopover during a Baltic trip or as a short weekend trip.

Germany / StreetartThe “Teufelsberg” or in English “The Devil’s Mountain” is a wonderful creative place above the rooftops of Berlin’s Charlottenburg district. Great art and cultural events have been taking place here for years. The former and half decayed NSA Cold war spy station has been converted into a creative wonderland, awesome parties take place, rousing festivals, interesting film events and of course there is a lot of terrific art. The walls are just bursting with urban art and the Teufelsberg is one of the largest Halls of Fames in Germany.

Belgium / StreetartDoel is part of the municipality of Beveren in the Flemish province of East Flanders in Belgium. Plans to expand the huge closeby Antwerp Port to Doel and demolish the village have been in place since 1965. However, continuous protests by the villagers have prevented this so far. In the meantime, graffiti has been used as a helpful tool and the village declared itself as kind of an open urban art gallery. Of course this attracts a lot of artists from all around and also art loving visitors. Also since 2022 the fantastic DOEL FESTIVAL organized by PARADISE CITY and KLUB DRAMATIK takes place regularly with international djs, musicians and urban creators.

Nepal / PainterIn Kathmandu we visited the artist and art teacher KUMAR LAMA at his art school OLD MONASTERY THANKA AND ART PAINTING SCHOOL, and spoke with him about his creative space and the art presented. Currently 45 teachers work there and more than 100 students are taking part at the program. Also joining the interview was KUSFU TAMANG, who is an artist herself but also works at the art project. This space is an art education program that has been in operation for many generations.

Events / StreetartA visit to the Historisches Museum Saar on Saarbrücken’s Schlossplatz is the perfect complement to the “Urban Art Biennale” on the Hüttenfabrik museum grounds and in the city center of Völklingen. The special exhibition “Illegal” can be seen there from 18th May 2024 until 23rd February 2025, in which a selection of pieces by 123 national and international artists presents key works and never-before-shown rarities, all of which were created illegally directly for an audience on the street, all of which are characteristic of the prehistory and later development of streetart and graffiti in the USA and Europe.

New Zealand / StreetartDunedin, or „Otepoti“ in Maori, is the second largest city on the South Island of New Zealand with a population of about 120.000 and is located at the tip of the natural harbor Otago. The city is known for its Scottish and Maori cultural heritage, as well as its interesting Victorian and Edwardian architecture, which in some places also features colorful street art.
