A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 280.000 photos from 100 countries in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. If you find any mistakes or missing information, just send us a message. We are creating, building and changing on this website all the time – but – of course! North Macedonia / StreetartThe Zdravko Cvetkovski High School in Skopje is a public secondary school with a long tradition dating back to 1944. It is located in the Karpoš district and is one of the city’s most important educational institutions, particularly in the technical field. In 2019, a fantastic graffiti jam took place on the school campus under the motto “Stop Bullying,” which addressed the themes of discrimination and exclusion. Several fantastic writing pieces and characters were created on a section of the sports facility wall, and additional graffiti can be found around the premises.

But the country is for sure not famous for Reggae Music. Let´s see…. maybe just not yet! Actually everything you need for this lifestyle is perfectly there. You just need someone, who is going to establish the concept. Exactly this idea had the former Berliner and now Vietnam citizen Herby. He opened the Reggae chillspot „Little Kingston Beach Bar“ in the beach village Mũi Né. Herby is Reggae DJ since 20 years and lives since five years in Vietnam. The first three years he was resident DJ and manager in several clubs in Saigon, after quite a while he finally found a perfect place for his own project. We visited him and relaxed at the comfy hammock area at his beach bar location while we recorded an interview about the origin and development of the place.

Australia / StreetartThe Wolf Lane in Perth was originally an unremarkable back alley used primarily for delivery traffic and waste disposal. The first renovations began around 2001, when the city sought to revitalize the lane and better integrate it into the city center. A decisive transformation began in 2014 with the urban art project PUBLIC by FORM, in which the alley’s walls were adorned with large-scale murals by international and local artists. As a result, Wolf Lane evolved from a functional back alley into a well-known creative hotspot in the city center.

Painter / Streetart / UkraineThe artist Sergiy Lysiuk aka ARM from Chernivtsi in the Ukraine started dreaming about doing portraits since he can remember. Back in school time inspired by the Hip Hop culture he just simply started spraying toilets but it soon became a deeply passion and developed in a highly talented skill which he is now doing professionally. On canvas he creates very detailed and elaborated motifs of people, this is more the modern art type for galleries and to hang inside a room. But his first excitement is about bigger pieces on the street and the mighty murals. Like he said: On the street it is like an open gallery and free to watch for anyone.

Ecuador / StreetartCuenca was founded on April 12, 1557 as ‚Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos de Cuenca‘ by the Governor and Captain General of Quito Gil Ramírez Dávalos. With around half a million inhabitants, it is the third largest city in Ecuador and the capital of the province of Azuay. It is located south of Quito in an Andean highland basin at an altitude around 2600 meters with the Río Tomebamba flowing through the city. Of course there are numerous great works of art in the urban space, many with influences from the art, tradition and culture of the indigenous cultures mixed with elements of today’s modernity.

Events / Germany / StreetartAfter the great first edition of the WOLFSBURG GRAFFITI JAM in 2020, this fantastic happening went into its second edition in 2023. The 150 meters long garage walls at Lindenstraße 31 in the Vorsfelde district were redesigned by 32 artists from September 1st to 3rd. This time the motto was „Save the animals“ and on a total of more than 400 m² fascinating natural landscapes were created in combination with graffiti writing and various animal characters. The event was once again organized by DANIEL EYRICH and the crew PAYURDUES.

History / VenezuelaThe castle of San Carlos de la Barra is a construction of colonial Spain, located on the San Carlos Peninsula, in the state Zulia. It was built in 1623 with limestone rocks, brought from Toas Island, at the entrance of the Maracaibo bar. The fortress was intended to protect the passage that connects Lake Maracaibo with the Gulf of Venezuela. At the time when Maracaibo was built it had been attacked and sacked several times by pirates and the construction of the castle was intended to have a true defense of the territory that would prevent pirates from entering the mainland.

Germany / PainterCreative visit in the studio! The Frankfurt painter Angelika Grünberg was a guest on Radio X and told us about her interesting work and fascinating art. The freelance artist studied art science and free graphic arts in Frankfurt am Main, after which she became self-employed in this field. She paints with acrylics and watercolors and exhibits, but also teaches the techniques, gives workshops and organizes courses at the technical college and the adult education centre.

South Korea / StreetartThe underground shopping center at Gangnam Terminal in Seoul is also known as “Goto Mall” and is directly connected to the subway lines. There are more than 600 shops, restaurants, and boutiques located beneath the surface. Along an around 500-meter-long walkway passage, the magnificent “24 Hours Project” was created at the RAEMIAN ONE BAILEY STREETART GALLERY, in which 24 renowned Korean urban artists each created a work that deals with a specific hour of the day. Pedestrians can experience Seoul’s vibrant rhythm through creative and also amusing artworks.

Events / Streetart / SwedenThe NO LIMIT urban art festival is an awesome event that has brought countless great artists from Sweden and from all over the world to the city of Borås since it’s first edition in 2014. The event was initiated by the artist SHAI DAHAN together with the project HEY BORÅS and the city of Borås. The town with 114.000 inhabitants is filled with countless works of creativity in urban space, whether huge-scale murals, filigree works on street corners or sculptures and monuments. In 2020 they also collaborated with ARTSCAPE and organized an even bigger event. Check out the awesome artworks from the previous years!

Portugal / StreetartToday we have some streetart for you from the eastern part of the Atlantic. Funchal is the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira, which is about 710 km off the Moroccan coast at equator height. In the cozy city you can find smaller urban works of art and larger murals in many places, but a very special place is the Rua de Santa Maria with the adjacent streets. Artists have brought the once run-down and half-ruined district back to life with a creative and colorful project: the “Projecto artE pORtas abErtas” which means „Open Door Project“.

RomaniaPhoto Gallery about all kind of vehicles we found during our road trip through the Banat. Included are horse trailors like you see on the main pic, but as well cars, bicycles, trains, trams, buses, trucks, tractors and even quads. There are beetles, police cars, driveable lawn mowers and sportscars. The age range is diverse as well, in the collection you can find quite new luxury cars, as well oldtimers or just left over car trash. And of course, al lot of people still trust in the good old bike or the 1 PS strong horse.
