In 2020, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the National Cinema Museum at the Mole Antonelliana and the birth of the Turin Piedmont Film Commission, the Piedmontese capital was the ‘City of Cinema’. A double-threaded bond, an attraction matched that between Turin and the cinema that has its roots in the past and has concreteness in the present, capable of constantly becoming the protagonist of the city’s cultural life.
A union that manifests itself on the one hand in the union between the Mole Antonelliana – symbol and icon of the city – and the National Cinema Museum housed there and, on the other, in the numerous films that in recent years have brought Turin to the big screen by showing it beauty and potential. A panorama that highlights a variety of organizations, associations, institutes and laboratories that distinguishes Turin as an excellence on the national and international scene. – Torino Cittá del Cinema 2020
