(10) Così ridevano – The Way we laughed
Gianni Amelio won the Leone d’Oro (Golden Lion) in 1998 at the Venice Film Festival with a sorrowful movie portraying the years of Italian immigration from the southern regions to Turin, destined to change the face of the city forever. The trains arriving at Porta Nuova railway station from the South of Italy were nicknamed “the trains of hope” and became a historical fresco created without modifying anything of the main station or alterations to its layout. – TORINO CITTÁ DEL CINEMA 2020
