CHILE: Streetart Angol - Circunvalación Oriente 750 - End of the Year Jam - GILLO, SIRTE, RUKO & FLAUNO

This wall of almost 100 meters, since the pre-bicentennial period of Chile (before September 18th 2010) had only the graffiti that is on the corner with Colima Street. And after all these years, that graffiti remains in good conditions and without any third-party intervention, as these photos that were taken in December 2024 attest.

At the end of 2024, GILLO painted on the wall, always respecting the work that already existed on the corner of Circunvalación Oriente and Colima streets. As seen in the first photos, to the right of GILLOs new graffiti, there is only the Circunvalación Oriente 800 graffiti in good conditions.

The following photos show the details of GILLO’s work, drawing a Chilean TV character called Juan Carlos Bodoque. She wrote one of his typical phrases in red letters: “La opinion abunda en la boca de los tontos”, which means in English „Opinion abounds in the mouths of fools“.

Once her graffiti was finished, GILLO organized and directed the creation of more graffiti with her friends from Angol. It should be noted that all those who participated in the beautification of Circunvalación Oriente wall are young people who are still in high school and who are the future of graffiti in Angol. In the photo below you can see how GILLO directs and organizes her friends from behind while they are painting their graffiti.

The end of the year 2024 caught these young artists with little paint material and spray cans were half full or with very little paint. The idea was to leave everything there in that wall at the end of the year, and thus they will have to buy and start the year 2025 with new material for future graffiti, since what material they had was left there in this wall of Circunvalación Oriente Street. It was an entertaining meeting, with a lot of camaraderie, a lot of joy and laughter. The best way to end 2024!

Starting from the left side is the work that SIRTE did, first drawing the outlines until finishing with light blue letters and a black border.

Next, we have the different stages that RUKO did to make his green flop, and since he ran out of that color, he finished the last letter with light green paint.

Finally, FLAUNO made his flop with different colors in each letter, ending with Muttley, the character from the classic Wacky Races cartoon.

One of the last photos says RASKAS CREW, which is the former M26 CREW, a group to which all these artists belong and also others from Angol who could not attend this artistic meeting. Curiously, at some point during his graffiti drawing, FLAUNO wanted to clean his brush and to get the black color out, he painted the tag RASKAS CREW on the wall.
