This mural could be more than 15 years old. It was created by the Angol artist KARZON for the Santa Teresita Bakery. Thanks to the care of the bakery owners, the mural remains clear and visible, despite the sun’s rays and harsh weather as well. Without their care, it would have faded and almost disappeared over the years.
The mural depicts a bucolic scene featuring the flora and fauna of the Araucanía region or Wallmapu. On the left side, a house surrounded by trees leads to a path with a dock and boat. The upper part of the river appears to be flowing rapidly down from a distant mountain or volcano.
On the other side of the river, nature appears pristine and wild, with imposing Araucaria Araucana trees. In one of these trees, there is also an endemic woodpecker. This part of the mural recreates the path leading to La Piedra del Águila, located within Nahuelbuta National Park.
