Koh Chang is one of the largest Thai islands in the south-east part of the Gulf of Thailand, notable for its dense, steep-sided rainforest. Recommended is the Mu Ko Chang National Park, which is a protected area with hiking trails and waterfalls such as the multi-tiered Klong Plu. The island is located close to the Cambodian border with several smaller islands around.
