The rural village of Amazizi is located at the foot of the famous Drakensberg Mountains and therefore a popular starting point for hikes into the nature. The small municipality also includes the areas Busingatha, Okhombe and Obanjaneni wards. In 2015 an NGO founded by Cheryl Grace, Cheryl Blackburn and Elijah Mbonane built the Amazizi preschool and expanded it later on to the nonprofit Sakhile Centre of Learning. Through generous donations, they have been able to work with local contractors to build and provide the preschool in a sustainable, environmentally conscious manner.
