Monchique is a small town in the Serra de Monchique on the northern edge of the Algarve with around 4,300 inhabitants. The spa town is popular with tourists because of its hiking trails on the 902 meter high Mount Fóia and the nearby “Caldas de Monchique” baths with their warm springs.
