PORTUGAL: Streetart Loulé – Algarve Graffiti and Urban Art Collection

Loulé is a district town with around 72,000 inhabitants and is located in the south of Portugal on the Algarve, about 16 kilometers north of Faro. Worth seeing are the weekly farmers‘ market in the neo-Moorish market hall, the Roman villa of Vilamoura, the Castelo de Loulé castle or the churches Igreja Matriz da São Clemente and Chapel Nossa Senhora da Piedade. Loulé is also famous for the annual Carnival on Avenida José da Costa Mealha, considered one of the most colorful in Portugal. The Loulé Jazz Festival has taken place every June since 1995 and the World Music Festival MED on Mediterranean music and culture since 2004 in July. Here is a collection of great urban art photographed by ANNEMARIE M.
