A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 280.000 photos from 100 countries in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. If you find any mistakes or missing information, just send us a message. We are creating, building and changing on this website all the time – but – of course! Asia / Laos / SocialWe found again something interesting, good and worth-to-write-about in the middle of the jungle. It was next to the karst mountains while we were passing with our modified go-karts to a lagoon. We jetted past a sign, but after the short look we had to go back to that place the next day for sure. There was written: „Buy a cocktail and send with your purchase a child to school”. There was as well something about „Need Volunteers”. That sounded interesting. What are they doing there and who is doing what and are they really doing what they wrote? And if yes, how can you support? A lot of questions, so let´s go and check it out…

Events / Germany / StreetartFrom 24th to 26th July 2026 the Güterhallenweg in Mosbach became a meeting point for the international urban art and graffiti scene. Around 40 artists from different parts around the globe came together to create a large-scale mural across a total wall area of 1.100 square meters at the GRAFFITI FESTIVAL MOSBACH. The result was a unique open-air gallery in the heart of Mosbach, bringing together different styles and perspectives from the international streetart and graffiti world.

Events / Germany / StreetartZehlendorf town hall is getting colorful! From December 5th in 2023 till March 31st in 2024, more than 115 street art exhibits by over 70 artists can be admired on two floors of the Zehlendorf town hall. The exhibition was organized by the VERBUND GRAFFITI & STREETART SZ and the project STREETLIFE 2.0, in initiated by the artists PHILIP NADOLL and JONAS QUENTIN.

Argentina / NatureLas Grutas is a city located on the Atlantic coast of the Río Negro province in Argentina. It is bathed by the warm, blue waters of the San Matías Gulf. The city gets its name from the incessant carving of the waves on the cliffs, which are up to eight meters high. When the tide rises, the constant pounding of the waves creates marine erosion that gives rise to caves below the cliffs, which are bordered by extensive golden beaches and an absolutely calm ocean. The intense blue sea has one of the warmest temperatures of the entire Argentinean maritime coast.

Greece / StreetartExarchia is a district of the Greek capital Athens and famous for it’s avant-garde and alternative scene. This page here is specifically about graffiti and great urban art in this neighbourhood, whose alleys are filled from top to bottom with magnificent works. The murals are often marked by political messages, interspersed with anarchist bookshops or stores for rare records and vintage stuff. The bars and clubs regularly host live concerts of all kinds of music and there is a fun and lively nightlife.

Sculptor / South Korea / StreetartThe Yangnim-dong neighborhood in Gwangju, better known as Penguin Village is a creative art space close to the west bank of the Gwangjucheon river. The community is a small, creative enclave in Gwangju. It emerged from an old residential area dating back to the 1970s and 1980s, which residents transformed into a sort of open-air exhibition. The name “Penguin Village” comes from the fact that older residents with knee problems resembled penguins when they walked. Today, the village is known for its colorful murals, artwork made from recycled objects, and an unusual, nostalgic atmosphere.

Africa / Ghana / SocialThe Volta Home – also known as Ve Deme Orphanage – is situated in Ve Deme in the Afadjato South constituency of the Volta Region. The facility was founded by pastor Issa Dan Annabi and his wife about 30 years ago. They came as missionaries to this poor and rural area and noticed the urgend support these people here needed in many social issues. They did not only take care of the orphans, they establish as well supportive aid for older people and the ones who need caring help. Meanwhile the son Emmanuel takes care of the organisation and the leading of the orphanage….

Germany / StreetartThe Tierpark Center in Berlin Lichtenberg is becoming a temporary open air gallery. Seven Berlin artists for urban art designed the wall surface of the center with motifs specially developed for the location in December 2021. The creative temporary use was made possible by the on-site center management together with the child and adolescent psychotherapist Andrea Stöckmann aka EMILY STRANGE and Ulrike Gohla from the STADTPIRATEN. The motto for the motifs is “Fare Well” and the involved creators were AGE AGE, CARO PEPE, COKYONE, LACUNA, MATE, SPOARE 153 and SR. PAPÁ CHANGO. Check out their awesome artworks!

Lithuania / MusicMonday is usually not the best day to party. The week already started, mostly there is still enough satisfaction or headache from the weekend, so you don´t find many people who go out, therefore as well not many places are open and offer long lasting venues. But this is not the case in Vilnius, on Mondays there is always a special program of high quality electronic music at the Minimal Mondays events of minimal.lt. In summer they take place at the Vasaros Terasa, in winter at the indoor Kablys Club. We joined an event and interviewed one of the DJs.

Accommodation / Nature / South AfricaWildlife viewing of the savannah: We made another stop on our safari tour through the northeast of South Africa at Andy’s camp in the Ukhozi Nature Reserve. A cozy lodge with a collection of small tent sheds for a handful of visitors. The great thing about this camp is its location on a hill with a perfect view of a waterhole below. In the morning, at lunchtime and especially in the evening, the entire animal landscape of the area appears alternately there. Everyone has a thirst, especially when it’s so hot.

Sri Lanka / StreetartGalle is a city with around 93,000 inhabitants on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka and is known for its large fort complex and the colonial old town, which were classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The city is home to various street art works with traditional and religious motifs, as well as modern graphics, characters and even typical graffiti writing. On the Fort promontory, there are several art galleries worth seeing, which also exhibit works on the streets. The temples are also always worth a look, as you can often find beautiful murals there.

Streetart / SwedenDiscomformities with the rules, experiments with novelty and, above all, simply giving a fuck about the name. “It’s about how good you paint and how often you paint that counts”. The creative artist CODE26 from Gothenburg started with graffiti art at the end of the 90s, but his artistic range has since developed extensively and he paints everything from letters and figures to abstract creations. And sometimes he also paints JÖRG. Or whatever occurs to him at the moment and whatever he feels like doing.

Events / Spain / StreetartFrom October 5th to 20th 2023 the 7th edition of the great PERIFERIA BEAT FESTIVAL took place in Barcelona. Every year, this extensive urban art event brings numerous artists from all areas of the scene to the stage. From breakdance to hip hop music, djing, rap battles and, of course, graffiti. This year’s event was also themed “50 Years of Hip Hop” and included movies, exhibitions and workshops. On October 12th, as well the MURAL JAM BARCELONA took place as part of the festival, where fantastic works were created at the Tres Xemeneies Hall.

Events / Germany / StreetartThe streetart festival COLOUR & SOUL took place in Braunschweig for the first time under this name in 2026, building directly on the two previous editions of the HOLA UTOPIA!. From 27th July to 2nd August, the city centre became a space for streetart, graffiti, music, workshops and social exchange. While the Hannover festival continues under its original name, the former Braunschweig offshoot has now developed into the independent COLOUR & SOUL festival. It is organised by the non-profit association SOZIOKULTUR VOR ORT, which emerged from the association HIP HOP KULTUR.

Artisani / Germany / PerformanceOn our tour through Southamerica the firedancer Cassiopeia aka Jasmin Schuhmann travelled with us for several weeks. the artist is originally from Germany and lived for a while in Frankfurt, meanwhile she moved to Buenos Aires and works there at a school. But her big passion is the firedance, in Germany she worked already as a firedance freelancer artist and had gigs on a lot of different events….

Nature / OmanA wadi is a valley or river that often leads to water only after heavy rains. Surprising flash floods can be caused by distant thunderstorms that fall in the correspondingly large catchment area of the wadi. The stay in Wadis with steep banks, but also in very wide wadis can become life-threatening in such cases. We went on a exploring tour to see some of those wadis, in summer time there is definitly no danger, maybe you could fall asleep and drown while relaxing in warm chilled basins and swimming pool like valleys of the wadis. One of the those famous and fantastic wadis is Wadi Shab, which we visited on our journey.

Events / Germany / StreetartOver four days in early December 2022, the North Side Gallery was colorfully redesigned under the theme “Armut X Reichtum”, which means in English “Poverty X Wealth”. More than 30 artists sprayed and painted grandiose works on the main wall on the West Part and on the wall on the East Part during December 1st, 3rd, 4th and 8th. Analiá Pertusi aka Perts Jam joined and is building up a fantastic archive for the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires and as well for the Chascomus Map.
World traveller Mazzanti from Sweden contributes great photos for the Stockholm Map and for numerous places from all around the world.
Irxnschmoiz is our city ambassador for the maps of Hannover, Bremerhaven, Dortmund, Braunschweig and Hildesheim and contributes continously new material. He also takes photos from other interesting places in Germany.
