Moyogalpa is a municipality in the Rivas Department on the island of Ometepe in southwestern Nicaragua, has a population of around 10.000 and is considered the economic center of the island. The town was founded during the colonial era and, thanks to its location on the lake, quickly developed into an important trading and transport hub on the island. Today, Moyogalpa is Ometepe’s main ferry port and thus the central gateway for visitors. Attractions include the Santa Ana Church in the town center, the lakeside promenade on Lake Nicaragua, and the nearby Concepción Volcano, which is one of the most popular activities in the region. And of course like everywhere on this world, you will also find great urban art and murals in the streets. The photos were taken by MELITTA HORVATH. If you want to contribute to this project and if you also have photos of graffiti and streetart from this location, send them to info@vagabundler.com.
