Nature / Sri LankaMirissa is located on the south coast of Sri Lanka and is a small surfing mecca, which is why you will find numerous surfboards in the water here, especially in the morning and evening hours. Due to a number of natural or man-made bays, different beaches have also been created, as well as small points of interest such as Coconut Tree Hill or Parrot Rock. Here is a collection of photos of the beaches and nature, but also of the street life and architecture of the city, from modern houses to ancient temples. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Artisani / Germany / PainterGraphics, shapes and colors represent boundaries and the infinite. The works of the postmodern painter Serkan Goeren from Frankfurt deal with the demolition of their own framework. His art could be described as a philosophical art, the paintings and his writings are an expression of a more comprehensive theory, with which the artist has been engaged since the study time. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Atelier / Germany / PainterBeing able to exhibit as an artist in a gallery or even in a museum is a long and difficult journey. Due to socio-culturally shaped exclusivities such doors are opened to a few. Through relationships, the academic career, the finances, by luck or really the absolutely outstanding talent and a lot of hard work it already works, but there are not so many galleries and exhibition venues. This is also due to the high maintenance costs, the low subsidies and the conditional demand for art objects in general. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Britain / PainterCoincidence or destiny? We had a special and creative encounter in the land of the rising sun after a long day of sightseeing in Hiroshima. During our trip to Japan, we came across the painter Philip Cross, who himself was on an inspirational journey through Asia. Deep in painting and flipping through his sketches, he sat at the table, listening to music and seemed inconspicuous at first. But the drawings spoke for themselves and in conversation Philip told of his previous experiences and the art. The deep passion for painting was equally clear, he draws from passion and is almost driven away. In a positive way. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...
Israel / Performance / SocialThis is the story of Shoshke. A super heroine brought to life. And it’s probably one of the weirdest and funniest but above all most motivating stories here on this channel so far. The creator himself, namely the Israeli artist Zeev Engelmayer repeatedly takes on the role of his self-designed comic super heroine. Then he just becomes Shoshke in a special costume. An idea for an artistic performance has developed into an unbridled dynamic of its own and an independent character within Zeev’s psyche. That´s Shoshke. It´s not schizophrenic, more like a symbiosis. Zeev loves it and he frequently is setting her free. Because Shoshke makes always and every few days crazy but fabulous actions. Currently, according to Marker Magazine “She” is one of the 100 most influential people in Israel. And we need some more Shoshkes on this world! She fights for the good and important things. Take some time for this article. It’s going to be strange and complex, but for sure as well funny and super interesting. >>> READ MORE [...] Read more...

Chile / Stylist / TattooIn Arica on the northern Pacific Coast we made a little stop to do some surfing. The beaches and the waves are quite nice for several month.
