A wonderful ragbag for alternative travelers and fans of creativity, especially urban art. On this platform you can find interesting reportages, detailed country or city maps and coverages on awesome artists. There is a whole section about interviews with unique people and their amazing work, as well about crazy events and interesting sustaining projects from all around the world. Meanwhile we have more than 280.000 photos from 100 countries in our archive and we try to preserve some of this creativity with our documentation. All respect to the artists! As well to all the numerous people involved in this non profit project. We do this voluntarily because we love it and we want to support the art scene in general and socio-cultural understanding between us on this planet. If you find any mistakes or missing information, just send us a message. We are creating, building and changing on this website all the time – but – of course! Events / Germany / StreetartIn March it was time again for the annual ANTI RACISM JAM in Moabit at the spraygrounds of the 21ER GALLERY with more than 50 creators. Every year the popular jam brings top-class artists to the walls with fantastic concept collaborations to make a colorful statement against racism and discrimination. The event from 25th till 28th March 2026 took place at six locations, namely at the large Concept Wall, at the Hamberger Wall, at the Union Sports Hall, at the Union Park, around the “Center for Art and Urbanism” (ZK/U) and at the Theodor Heuss School.

Spain / StreetartCartagena is a port city with around 215,000 inhabitants and is located in the region of Murcia in south-eastern Spain. Worth seeing are the historic old town, the second largest Roman theater on the Iberian Peninsula or the Casa de la Fortuna, which is decorated with colorful wall paintings and mosaics. But there are also numerous gems of urban art in the streets and especially during the great MUCHO MAS MAYO arts festival various events take place throughout the city, also every year new murals get created on the walls.

Sculptor / TaiwanThe PIER 2 art quarter in Kaohsiung is not only famous for its large-scale streetart murals, there are also numerous sculptures, monuments and installations. In addition to individual events such as the FORMOSA SCULPTURE BIENNIAL, a big regualr event is the KAOHSIUNG INTERNATIONAL STEEL & IRON SCULPTURE FESTIVAL, or KISISF for short, which has been held every two years since 2002 and is officially organized by the Bureau of Cultural Affairs of the Kaohsiung City Government.

Poland / StreetartUsing the bicycle path over the Vistula River in Warsaw, leading along the access roads to the Siekierkowski Bridge, or running to the bus or tram on the left-hand side of the Poniatowski Bridge, you can encounter fascinating images created by great artist ANDY BLACK. Pictures that cannot be ignored, full of emotions that everyone can read differently. Sometimes it is anger, sometimes fear or surprise. Or maybe you will see a smile there? In fact, it is up to the viewer to read these feelings. They are images that replace many words that could be used to describe them.

Streetart / TurkeyIn Istanbul between the main street Tersane Caddesi and the parallel side street Yemeniciler Caddesi, there is a parking lot that connects the two streets. The alley is called Kürekçiler Kapisi and you can find a large amount of graffiti on the walls on both sides of the surrounding buildings, including really well-crafted collaborations and beautiful portraits mixed with elegant graffiti writing.

South Korea / StreetartWe already showed you the streetart and figurative works from Itaewon, this time it is now about the graffiti. The district is one of the city’s party neighbourhood, with countless bars, clubs, and restaurants, and there is always something going on here around the clock. Compared to the more conservative cityscape, this district looks a little different and you can clearly see the international influences of the former US military base Yongsan. Accordingly, there is also a lot of graffiti and lettering pieces here, much more than anywhere else in the city, where graffiti is rather rare. Check out the great collection!

Kazakhstan / StreetartAlmaty is the largest metropolis in Kazakhstan and is located in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountain. It was the country’s capital until 1997 and has continued to be Kazakhstan’s commercial and cultural center. Landmarks include the Central State Museum with historical Kazakh artifacts, Panfilov Park in the center and the Tsarist-era Zenkov Cathedral. Of course, there is also beautiful urban art in the streets, from large murals and graffiti to small colorful gimmicks. Check out the collection by great photographer and art enthusiast Mike Hennessey aka See Some Streetart. With more than 200 photos we had enough to start a map. North Macedonia / StreetartBasically the whole of Skopje is one big graffiti canvas and people just spray paint everywhere. But some works simply require a little more time, especially if they are to be really spectacular. So it’s good that there are also legal areas, and one of these legal spray spaces is located on Vojvoda Vasil Chakalarov in the eastern part of the city, about 300 meters before the road crosses the Vardar River on the way out of town. It is a long concrete wall about 2 meters high, where new works are constantly being created and graffiti spray sessions take place from time to time.

Poland / StreetartLeszno is a beautiful, medium-sized town in south-western Greater Poland (Wielkopolska), near the border with Silesia with a multinational and multicultural character. Many open-air events are organized throughout the year like the Glider Picnic, the Baroque Plus music festival or Leszno Delights. The City Theater, which is the first new public theater in Poland in 40 years, has also been operating here since 2016. And of course the city is also peppered with grandiose murals and beautiful street art.

Design / Sri LankaThe buses and large vehicles for public transportation in Sri Lanka look more or less similar as in other countries in terms of size and construction, but the exterior design is simply unique. Most countries tend to use conservative designs for their public transport buses, like single-colored vehicles with a discreet logo. Things are completely different in Sri Lanka, where the buses are awesome true works of art. Those mostly Indian Ashok Leyland are colorfully upgraded and shine bright in every corner, not only on the outside but also on the inside. The more color, the better.

Cinema / GermanyFilmmaker Bernd Lützeler has been travelling and discovering Indian culture extensively and regularly for almost 20 years, already in the 90s he was a big Bollywood fan. Meanwhile he shoots his very own films and besides presenting his personal style of Bollywood content, the films show as well the real but even more fascinating reality in India. Bernd is present at various film festivals and involved in great projects, as well he is a member of the film collective LaborBerlin. The creative artist told us in an interview at the “Institut für alles Mögliche” at the Teufelsberg in Berlin about his work.

Cinema / GermanyThe focus is on experimental film, but Cristina Binetti’s visual art project also includes her directorial work, photographs, documentaries and books. The video artist was born in 1976 in Frankfurt am Main, but has her roots in Apulia near Bari. Many of her films have therefore been made in Italy. As a child, she wrote short stories, later screenplays, until she was finally able to sell her screenplay debut “Transire” to an international film production.

Streetart / TurkeyIn the south of the Istanbul Karaköy district by the water are the neighbourhoods of Bereketzade, Emekyemez and Azapkapi, the Arab quarter with the Arap Cami Mosque. Actually the whole city is a bazaar, but especially here you can find countless handcraft shops, numerous mechanics, little workshops and small technical goods stores. Those neighborhoods are already covered in graffiti from top to bottom, but when the shops close, even more cool works appear on the shutters. Check out the huge graffiti archive!

Atelier / Germany / StreetartThese grandiose works of art were created by the Berlin artist AUTARK on the rear parking deck of the Deutsche Oper on the corner of Krumme Street and Zille Street. AUTARK made the beautiful creations by snow forming and shoveling on different days in January 2022. The event is organized by local multidisciplinary artist and key figure in the art and culture scene HELIDON HALITI, who also designs murals himself from time to time. Streetart / SwedenDiscomformities with the rules, experiments with novelty and, above all, simply giving a fuck about the name. “It’s about how good you paint and how often you paint that counts”. The creative artist CODE26 from Gothenburg started with graffiti art at the end of the 90s, but his artistic range has since developed extensively and he paints everything from letters and figures to abstract creations. Canada / StreetartThe fantastic artist MAXILIE MARTEL aka MONO SOURCIL from Montreal embellishes huge walls and facades in urban areas with her colorful and comiclike murals filled with weird and funny-scary characters. She started with small stickers and initially drew mainly business people in stress mode. At some point the figures became more and more oblique, the works of art bigger and bigger. Still her trademark is the “uni-brow”, which appears continously on her artworks and also reflects the meaning of the name. Mono Sourcil means uni-brow.

Nepal / StreetartIn 2024 the KATHMANDU METROPOLITAN CITY launched an official mural program in collaboration with the NEPAL ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS. Artists were selected and commissioned by the city to paint these murals and a fantastic concept wall has also been created along Sundhara Road near the Dharahara Tower, featuring cultural motifs depicting the city’s people and historic landmarks. Additional works can be found at Saraswati Park or in the neighborhoods of Maitighar, Babar Mahal, Min Bhawan, Baneshwor and Lainchour.

Events / Germany / StreetartThe streetart festival COLOUR & SOUL took place in Braunschweig for the first time under this name in 2026, building directly on the two previous editions of the HOLA UTOPIA!. From 27th July to 2nd August, the city centre became a space for streetart, graffiti, music, workshops and social exchange. While the Hannover festival continues under its original name, the former Braunschweig offshoot has now developed into the independent COLOUR & SOUL festival. It is organised by the non-profit association SOZIOKULTUR VOR ORT, which emerged from the association HIP HOP KULTUR.

Malta / Nature / SocialManoel Island in the bay of G?ira is not the highlight of the city, but worth a visit for a short walk. There is a small fort, a bathing spot popular with locals and otherwise closed ruins or construction sites. The excursion was really nothing special and in absolutely hot heat we also missed the bathing spot. For a short inbetween visit you can pass by the spot, but you should not necessarily do this at noon time because there´s no shade at all. But you will get a nice view of Valletta and Sliema over the water. In addition shortly after the bridge to the island, there is the lovingly and creatively assembled Duck’s Village, which now houses not only ducks, but many other bird species and even hares and guinea pigs. Just like the motto: All Animals in Harmony.

Britain / MusicCarl Marah and Scott Rough are listening to music since they were little children, but the Swinging Sixties just got into their heads and kept on pushing them to the stage. They wanted to produce and play what they love. In 2014 the two 60s music lovers started to do gigs with musician Mick Reilly about the sound of this era. It was the foundation of the fantastic band Logan´s Close. Drums, two guitars, lead and rhythm, and their voices was quite alright for the beginning, but surely there was something missing.

Sri Lanka / StreetartMatara is the southernmost town in Sri Lanka and has a population of around 44,000. It is located on the Indian Ocean with rocky cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches, and the Nilwala River flows through the city into Dondra Bay. There is also a land connection of the SEA-ME-WE-5 submarine cable here, as evidenced by an interesting monument on the beach. Also worth seeing are the remains of the old fort and the Paravi Duwa temple with the former cable bridge. Throughout the town, you will find works of art on the walls depicting historical or religious scenes, as well as modern messages or abstract paintings.

Serbia / StreetartOn the banks of the Danube in Belgrade is a former factory with monumental silos at a height of 28 meters, the so called SILOSI. The building complex is constructed like honeycombs and consists of a total of 64 cells, but work was stopped many years ago and the site has lain fallow ever since. This landmark of brutalist architecture has been given a new lease of life thanks to the GAIA POKRET movement with several creative spaces, but the highlight are certainly the large murals that have gradually been painted in the lofty heights.
