San Cristóbal de La Laguna, or just La Laguna, has a population of around 155,000 and has a large student population and young culture due to its large university. But also ancient culture, the old town is a registered UNESCO World Heritage. A visit is also worthwhile at the beautiful church Nuestra Señora de la Concepción, the historic Casa Salazar, the Teatro Leal or a mountain excursion to the nearby Mirador Pico del Inglés. As well as beautiful volcanic sand by the water, this place also has of course great urban art. Especially during the streetart festival CALLE MALPEI organized by local artist FEOFLIP in 2017, 2018 and 2020 several large scale murals got greated throughout the city.
