With 196,000 inhabitants Rzeszów is the largest city in southeastern Poland and the capital of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The municipality forms the economic, academic, cultural and recreational center in this part of the country with a high number of interesting annual events, such as “The European Stadium of Culture”, the “Paniaga Festival” or the “Maskarada Theater Festival”. During the music events “Urban Space Festival”, the “Rzeszów Jazz Festival”, “Reggae on the Wisłok” or “Break Out Days” you get awesome bands and DJs of all genres. And on such events also fantastic works of art get created in the urban space, from smaller works to huge murals. ARKADIUSZ ANDREJKOW
Next to the Jan Strzelczyk Regional Sports and Performing Centre there are 14 beautiful portraits painted on wells and concrete pillar. The motifs show famous people associated with the city including the historian Franciszek Kotula or the theatre director Jerzy Grotowsk.

This mural was made as a homage to the Polish guitarist, composer and singer Tadeusz Nalepa, who lived from 26th of August 1943 till 4th of March 2007. He was born in Zgłobień and died in Warsaw.
Edward Janusz was a famous photographer from Rzeszów and an officer in the Austro-Hungarian army. He ran a photography shop in Rzeszów, which was considered one of the best in Galicji.

KAMIL KUZKO
A mural commemorating Fred Zinnemann, who was a director born in Rzeszów. He was winner of four Oscars and is known for films such as “From Here to Eternity” or “High Noon”. The great artwork was done during the art and movie festival “High Noon. Fred Zinnemann Returns to Rzeszow!”

Irena Stanisława Sendler was a Polish social worker and nurse. She lived and worked in Warsaw from February 15th, 1910 to May 12th, 2008. This great mural by DARIUSZ PACZKOWSKI aka 3FALA and was made as a tribute to honor her devotion and commitment to those in need.

FRESH VISION CREW
The Polish twin-engined medium bomber “PZL.37 Łoś”, also called “Moose”, had its first flight on 30th of June 1936 and 120 models were produced from 1938 till 1939. The components of the engines for this aircraft were made at the PZL Rzeszów Aircraft Engine Factory, which is today the company Pratt & Whitney.
