Music Without Stage
The exhibition „Music Without Stage“ by artist LACUNA and photographer NICHOLAS GANZ took place on the exhibition gallery site of the URBAN SPREE GALLERY from June 24th to September 9th 2021.
From the exhibition program: In December 2019, Berlin-based streetart artist LACUNA exhibited works from his series of spray-painted concert images from the first time. Now there is much more extensive exhibition of the already created as well as new works. The images were created using the stencil technique and were the result of an inspiring collaboration with photographer NICHOLAS GANZ, who has photographed bands live on stage over the years. Lacuna chose some images from the series and reinterpreted them with the spray can. The result is poetic and color-intensive work that hardly resembles sprayed stencil images.
The clubs, concert halls and discotheques cannot yet resume their usual operations as a result of the Corona measures; the idea that arose during the spring lockdown to fill the venues with different content can now be realized in the summer garden of the CASSIOPEIA, at Revaler Street 99. The various shows will be accompanied by Berlin musicians who will play live. – LACUNA & NICOLAS GANZ
