Hiedanranta is an old factory area west of Tampere and a real oasis of urban art. Countless great works can be found on the walls and huge murals on the old warehouse buildings. In 2018 the event SPRAYCANKONTROL took place in combination with the legendary jam series MEETING OF STYLES and some works from this event are still there, but of course new graffiti are also being created regularly. These great photos of urban art in the Finish city of Tampere were taken by the world explorers Thomas Adventurer and Diana Beekvelt, also known as NOMADS ON WHEELS. They have been traveling around Scandinavia with their VW LT28 van at that time. You can check their website, Instagram, Facebook or Youtube to see where they are currently around and follow their exciting adventures. It’s definitely worth taking a look! And in between their drivings around the globe, of course they encounter a lot of beautiful streetart. At Hiedanranta they also met the graffiti artist UNGS and could take some making of photos while he was creating a new artwork.
