El Agua es Vida – Water is Life
This community mural was created by PRISCILA FERNÁNDEZ TILLERÍA aka PRI, like so many other murals she has designed in the city of Angol. This mural is at the intersection of the two streets Portugal and José Bunster around the number 1961, facing a community plaza with children’s games, next to a synthetic field for sports.
The mural has many details. Starting from left to right, we have a smiling two-color sun accompanied by the phrase “El Agua es Vida” (Water is Life).
In the following photo, we find the word Rukarelmü, the name of a community cultural group dedicated to the protection of water and biodiversity in the territory of the Nahuelbuta Mountain range. Other details are the written words in Spanish like solidarity, love and cultural peace.
In the photo where the young woman embraces and shelters her community, on the left side you can see the PRI signature and below the date of completion of the mural: December 17th and 18th in 2016.
Finally, the mural ends with flowers and the phrase “La Educación nos hace Libres” (Education makes us Free).
