This mural by KARZON is located in Angol at the heart of the nerve center where farmers from all over the region and buyers converge, the main trading center for fruits, vegetables, food and fresh produce, fish and dairy products.
The property is on a corner, at the intersection of Campo de Marte and San Martín streets. On the side facing Campo de Marte street, there is a minimarket called Distribuidora Justo Aquí, where the bucolic scene depicted in the mural, represents the Cotico area, as it’s written in the mural, situated on the northeastern edge of the Nahuelbuta National Park, constituting one of the main access points from the city of Angol.
KARZON’s mural depicts a farmer loading charcoal onto an oxcart, a product he makes in the stone kiln shown to the right of the mural. As the mural shows, the imposing and ancient Araucaria Araucana trees and the endemic fauna of Nahuelbuta National Park can already be seen in the Cotico area.
On the other hand, the mural facing San Martín Street depicts a fleet of trucks under the logo of Combustibles Justo Aquí, a company that sells dry firewood, pellets, wood chips, and charcoal, all sources from the Cotico area. Here Karzon’s mural shows various trucks in different scenes, always highlighting the nature, rivers and skies of the Araucanía Region.
