This surrealist work was painted in 2009 by AGOTOK, a duo composed of PATRICIO MORENO and SANTIAGO VILLA, which is why they are also known as MORENO VILLA. This mural by AGOTOK was painted on Avenida Santa Rosa, a kilometer-long street where many of their works have been painted and where they first became known in the streetart world. The photographs are from March 2010.
This surreal graffiti has a reflection by AGOTOK on his Instagram account: “Recuerdo que pasaba por ahí un fantasma de sotana a las 3:00 a.m.” (“I remember a ghost in a cassock walking by at 3:00 a.m.”). AGOTOK has a long history of murals and graffiti in public spaces, bringing a folkloric and poetic language to his murals. It is worth noting that August 1st in 2025, marked the 25th anniversary of AGOTOK’s founding.
