Bangkok – Talat Noi Quarter – Color of Charoenkrung Project
Talat Noi means „small market“ and is a historic neighbourhood in Bangkok adjacent to Chinatown. The area was the first port in Bangkok where immigrants disembarked and you can find several historic buildings around. Today Talat Noi is a cultural attraction combined with modern urban art, as the alleys and houses are full of colorful creations. Several galleries opened and regularly interesting events take place that bring even more works to the walls, such as „Color of Charoenkrung“ featuring murals and installations by local artists and designers.

Hua Hin – Meeting of Styles – Abandoned Factory Graffiti – Lost Place Urban Art in the Jungle
Hua Hin is located in the center of the country on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand and is the oldest beach resort of the Thai royal family, and therefore also for countless tourists. Also the fantastic global graffiti project MEETING OF STYLES organized its first event in Thailand around an abandonded factory near the city in the jungle. More than 50 local and international artists created awesome artworks on April 5th and 6th in 2014, several can still be seen.

Surat Thani – Fantastic Concept Walls by SUTIN TANTIPAS and ART FOR DEC
The city of Surat Thani in the province of the same name has around 126,000 inhabitants and is located on the southern east coast of the Gulf of Thailand in Bandon Bay. There are countless pieces of streetart in the alleys especially on the fisher and worksmen district and even some large murals. The painter SUTIN TANTIPAS in particular has created a large number of fantastic concept walls with his ART FOR DEC project.

Koh Chang – Meeting of Styles 2024 – Graffiti Jam & Urban Art Festival
From April 26th to 28th in 2024, another edition of the fantastic MEETING OF STYLES of the local Thailand Division took place on the island of Koh Chang, whose events now bring awesome graffiti actions to walls around the whole globe. More than 30 artists from all over the world came to the small island in the south-eastern part of the country and left behind great works in a wide variety of styles.

Chiang Rai Bus Terminal & City Beautifications – CHAWAS CHAMPASAEN
In 2016, after the death of the popular King Bhumibol Adulyadej or Rama IX, the ninth of the Chakri Dynasty, the provincial government of Chiang Rai commissioned a group of young artists led by the painter CHAWAS CHAMPASAEN to decorate the central bus station as part of the annual Flower Festival. Besides the artworks on the terminal there are also beautiful portrait paintings and motifs of history, tradition and local landscapes around the town.

Bangkok – Khlong Saen Saep – Graffiti at the longes canal in the country
Khlong Saen Saep is a canal in central Thailand that provides a water connection from the Mae Nam Chao Phraya River to Prachin Buri and Chachoengsao, making it the longest canal in Thailand. It runs partly through the urban area of Bangkok and countless pieces of graffiti are regularly created along the walls. There are also beautiful large murals and wall paintings on the buildings along the water.

It is actually not that easy to find graffiti or street paintings in Bangkok. At first you wouldn’t think that and the city is also basically just a single “street art”. A mish-mash of humans strolling around, countless food variations and stalls. Everything is packed with stuff, the buildings and walls are full of trinkets, neon signs, advertisements, cable clutter, hanging laundry or any kind of garbage. But that’s why there is not much room for bigger graffitis there. At least in the center. Of course there are tags everywhere and smaller fast made stuff, but large free wall surfaces are rare and more found in the outer neighbourhoods.

It is considered the educational center of the Isan region and the Mueang Khon Kaen district, as well as an economic interchange with the neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia. Worth seeing are the nine-story Wat Nong Wang temple on the shores of Bueng Kaen Nakhon Lake, the architecturally impressive Wat Thung Setthi temple, or the Ton Tann Night Market with street food, live music, craft stalls, and a lively atmosphere. Chiang Rai – Baan Dam Museum – Black House – THAWAN DUCHANEE
The BAAN DAM MUSEUM, also known as the BLACK HOUSE MUSEUM, is a private art museum that consists of a mixture of traditional northern Thai buildings with unconventional and contemporary Lanna architecture. The building complex was designed by local artist THAWAN DUCHANEE, who is also called „Thailand’s Emperor of the Canvas“. There are more than 40 different buildings spread across the site on an area of ??around 160.000 square meters. Fantastic artworks are presented within the buildings at permanent exhibitions and creative cultural events are held regularly.
